Mercedes Gelaendewagen G-500 — It takes you anywhere at anytime in perfect comfort, safety and style. There is no question that it is the real deal. The fact that it does not change year to year means you never feel like you are driving an older vehicle. It is built to last and that is good value. Driving this vehicle gives me a tremendous sense of well-being.

Great All Around Car That Is Somewhat Unique — Build quality would be 5 if the window regulators would last. Overall fuel economy is very poor. Performs respectably on the street and is a mountain goat on the trails. Repairs can be costly if you are not able to spin a few wrenches on your own.

Would Love To Upgrade It — Performance - acceleration: Surprisingly responsive braking: Best brakes on an SUV handling: Quite nimble for such a big car Build Quality - Built like a tank, fells like a VIP lounge Appearance - Aggresive and sharp Cost of Ownership - Not an everyday car, maintenance is surprisingly affordable Fun Factor - The whole family loves it

Pros

Great zoom factor, luxury and cargo space

Cons

I wish the <2007 models had updated technology, but with available aftermarket iPod and Bluetooth, I am hooked up

Perfect Urban Assault Vehicle — The G55 AMG was the family choice for a "dog car" that had great acceleration, quality and styling. It definitely is not a "Soccer Mom" vehicle and beat out the Range Rover in the final analysis. The body style is timeless and the sound of that AMG engine revving up is awesome. I gave up the E55 (out of love for my dirty dogs who were too much for the backseat) a bit reluctantly because I though I would be driving a gutless bubble minivanish SUV that was in my price range. With the G55, no compromises. Love it!

Love My Benz — Thought it could perform better when I took it off- road, overall a wonderful SUV. Luxury wise, you couldn't ask for anything else. The solidity of it, makes you feel incredibly secure. If you want speed, this isn't the car for you, although acceleration wise, it behaves amazing up to 80 mph

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

One Of The Greatest Suvs On The Market. — We bought it from my uncle after his lease was over with and bought it for half the price of it brand new. It was originally a European military vehicle and it really shows in its build quality. It has loads of power accelerating to 60 mph in seven seconds. It is amazing because it weighs so much. The gas mileage is terrible though.
