Pros

Very fun to drive, fantastic gas mileage, low maintenance, ice cold A/C, good in snow, great sound system, dent resistant, tires wear evenly even after 130k miles with little to no front end maintenance!

Cons

The rear window defroster could be a little more powerful. Headlights can get some moisture from time to time, but drop in 5-10 cilica gel beads (from a shoe box pack) and it will almost never fog up again. Keep an eye on the oil, these are known to drop a quart or two between changes, but doesn't burn. Long trips(5hours+) can take a toll on the legs if you're tall.

I Love My Sc2 Coupe. I've Been A Proud Saturn Owner Since Day 1. — This car has surprisingly been the best used car I've ever owned. I bought it in the spring of 2008 when gas was starting to hit $4. It promised great gas mileage and it has never disappointed me in that area. I've maxed it at 38mpg on a state highway averaging 60mph. Just over 400 miles on the 12 gallon tank and there was still a little in there. Servicing(brakes, tires, etc.) has always been more than reasonable. You do want to be sure to rotate the tires front to back and never corner to corner. The rear wheels wear differently and can "chuck" over time if not swapped with front tires at least once a year. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of(and it will save your suspension). This car has great curves and a fantastic stance too. Be sure to roll with the headlights and fog lamps for maximum effect. This was the last year(2002) of the original company and the Tennessee built Saturns and you can tell a lot of pride went into it's construction. Awesome little coupe!

Great Gas Mileage, Decent Comfort

Cons

Saturns don't exist anymore

Not Bad, Saturn, Not Bad. — Everything is pretty good. Acceleration is pretty slow, I mean it's got like 99 horses because it's more for gas mileage and being eco-friendly than it is about drag-racing. The outer appearance isn't too bad .. It's a coupe, looks decent, but is still a Saturn. All in All it's not bad.

Cons

Love My Car — Anyone who knows me realizes how much I love this car, and here is the skinny on the SC2... Its acceleration is quick but there could be a little bit more from it, braking is overall very responsive and having the 4 wheel ABS with traction control does wonders in a minnesota winter. I have not done too much with this vehicle other than change the oil every 3000 miles, the only repairs i have done are, the hand brake, which didnt work when i got it, it needs to have a new line cuz the driver side one is split, over all this vehicle is by far the best one I have ever owned

Pros

Great fuel economy.  Looks attractive.  Very reliable.

Cons

Low to the ground, making it difficult to get in/out of.  Back seat is only for kids.  Engine a little weak when paired with automatic tranny.  Looks sportier than it handles.

Solid Little Car — Performance is just OK. Breaking is good mainly due to the light weight of the vehicle. Handling is average. Aceleration is not great. The 1.9 litre I4 is buzzy, not quick revving. Transmission is automatic, and lazy shifting. A manual tranny would have likely been better. Build quality is OK. Body is plastic so it resists denting, and won't rust. Interior is a bit noisy, likely a lack of sound deadening. More econo than luxo or sporty. Appearance is good overall. Exterior looks sporty and aerodynamic. Interior is all black, and looks OK. Should wear well over time. Gas milage is great ! In summertime, I average 33 mpg city, and get between 43-49 mpg on the hwy. Maintenance has been very impressive. I got the car with 54K on the odometer, and it now has around 99K. Only needed oil changes so far. Spend less than $100/year on regular maintenance. This car is not so much fun-to-drive. Its basically good at getting you from point A to B at a low cost. Sporty looks, but very "economy" in its execution. Not great for long highway trips as its a little cramped, and lack luxury.

not a sports car, not much room in the back seat

Good Solid Car — Great car. I got it with 42,000 miles and no problems. It now has over 75,000 miles and runs like it did when I got it. No extra repairs other than the expected (e.g. oil, brakes, tires, etc). I just put a tie rod end into it recently (only $120). 30mpg highway

This car is pretty customizable. They don't get as much attention as the other cars but oh well.

Cons

I hate that my S-Series didn't come with a sunroof. haha Every Saturn I see with it I get jealous. And the back seats are a little tight. Not for people over 5'10 or 11. But I'm riding in the front so it does'nt matter.

You Can't Knock It Til You Try It. — This is a great car for a college student like me. It is great for little projects. I'd pick this car over a Honda in a flash now that I know how good Saturns are. The S-Series is turning out to be my favorite.

The Saturn Is The Best Car On The Market — The Saturn cars have been God sent to people that have safety in mind and it is made for the people that love American made cars. It is a shame that GM thinks that taking the Saturn cars away and deleting jobs will increase their sales rates. I have had the opportunity to have 2 Saturns and they are the best car for safety and money there is. I can vouch for the safety in a accident being hit broadsided and came away walking with very minor injuries...I have yet to see this in any other car GM or any other Maker puts out.

A Different Kind Of Car — it accelerates, brakes, handles. good build quality. no repairs needed. no squeaks/rattles. nice interior and exterior styling. great gas mileage, low cost to maintain. this car is fun to drive. the 3rd door makes it easy to load and unload stuff in the back seat.
