02 Spec-v: Great Price For Great Performance. — This is my first "sports" car but it handles like a dream. The stock handling is the best part of the car. Imagine a Sentra with a 2.5 Altima motor stuffed in it with good suspension and sway bars. It also has some sort of variable valve timing much like V-Tech and an exhaust that claims to do the same when the RPM's climb. It takes a lot of its styling from the Skyline its older brother which has made quite a name for itself.

Pros

Great drive quality, good gas mileage.

Cons

Very bad exhaust setup and needs a better quality piston.

Spec V — It has the QR25DE engine in front of a 6 speed manual transmission. The engine is a good engine as long as you get rid of the stock exhaust early on. I did not and am now replacing my short block. But for a four cylinder it is a very fast stock car, but I cannot stress enough how quickly you need to get rid of the stock exhaust manifold and put a Header in its place. Also engines have problems holding boost due to a poor quality piston put in the block when they come stock. If you are going to supe this car up I recommend doing some serious engine work.

2002 Sentra — Have put around 80K on it. great little car. just slow. does have issue with sunroof leaking though. average 30+mpg going 80mph. us to get 37mpg when driving easy. cheap to own, little maintenance. easy to work on. big trunk. back seat too small. great cheap car.

Its a snappy little car thats good on gas.

Cons

Its geared a little low.

Great Commuter Car — The car handles good and is really good on gas but its geared a little low but i guess thats because its a little car. The car is fun to drive and the car looks a little sporty. A good thing about this car is that they make a lot of aftermarket parts for it.

Pros

The quickness

Cons

The basic styling of the car

My First Baby — I like the low and mid range power from the torque, it is a five speed so it is quick. This car has very modest gas mileage. I have owned this car since 2006 and I can attest to at least 30- 34 miles to the gallon.

It Was Decent. — This was what I bought after having my first Talon. This was a decent car. It wasn't horribly slow and got 28 MPG. It had a very loud exhaust and ugly rims on it. Fun for the time being, but glad I sold it.

Small family? Start with this car!

Cons

If you are looking for flashy this is not the car for you.

35

Good Car For Day To Day Driving — I have an automatic it's a little roomy, nice enough for a small family. Not as fuel efficient as a Honda Accord LX and definitely not my body choice. However it's a nice car to have for short - long distance trips, and carry friends around in.

Pros

Great performance, and a whole lotta looks from everyone. Loved this car.

Cons

Possibly the WORST drivetrain ever made by man. The engine had to be REPLACED at 30,000 miles and the Transmission replaced TWICE in that time. Absolute GARBAGE. IF YOU'RE THINKING OF BUYING A 2002 SPEC-V....D O N T!! gET THE 2003 OR LATER MODEL YEARS.

Se-r Specv Show Car — I bought the car brand new in 2002 with absolutely no intentions of customizing it, as it came kind of "trick" from the factory. In the end that all changed. I was the 1st person on the East Coast to have the "Octane" body kit put on the car and it was flawless thanks to my buddy Vinja. I t was so perfect that judges couldn't tell if it came from the factory like that or not. I had a fiberglass hood painted in black metallic pearl. It was lowered on a full TEIN coilover system, and on rims that were custom powder coated black and had silver polished lips as well. I was also the 1st car on the East Coast to have the FUSION led undercar kit. I customized my dash to have an LCD screen tv flip up and out of it (yknow, before it was even the cool thing to do). I also had an Sony PS2 in the car as well. For the system I had all Rockford Fosgate highs and mids, and then an AudioPipe 2000W 15inch Sub in a custom fiberglass enclosure with a crunchUSA 1500W amp. To say that hammered would be an understatement. I took this car to car shows almost exclusively and won in all of them. 3, 1st place trophies, and was also in a magazine as well.

Cheap.

Cons

Reliability, build quality, transmission

35

2 Blown Engines In 60000km — Bad transmission (clunky, first gear too short, second too long), suspension so-so, rims that bends on the first pot-hole, engine with lots of torque, but could rev higher, and the most gaz-guzzling 4 cylinder engine I've ever seen.
