A Great Car — Performance --> The Duratec 3.0L V6 is strong, the handling is not so good (it floats) and the braking is pretty strong. Build Quality --> It is really well put together, it takes a beating and just going. I have had no issues. Appearance --> It is a certifiable granny-mobile but that is okay with me. Cost of Ownership --> Gas mileage is as good as 34 mpg on the open HWY and around town it will average 25 mpg. Maintenance is really cheap as the car has absolutely zero issues. Fun Factor --> The car has little fun factor seeing as it is the choice vehicle among retirees but it is fun to catch people off guard in a streetlight drag race and to surprise people when the car goes flying by passing on the HWY. The car has no cornering abilities though only straight line performance. Overall --> I am extremely satisfied with my car!

Its Good — I like my car its nice ive beat on it and it has never quit on me yet almost 95,000 mi. ford/mercury made this one tough i geuss so i dont think ill be "found on the roadside dead" anytime soon. only one complaint and thats that my gas mileage is inconsistant but like i said i beat on it so it doesnt bother me. ford is deff. the way to go for me from here on out | ||

2002 Mercury Sable — Now over 145,000 and still going strong. No major repairs other than the air conditioner blower. Still driving on the original drive belt and brakes and no sign of failure. The next planned service will be new struts. Everything you can ask for in a roomy comfortable car. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Great Car For Transporting Kids Of Any Age. — I had to purchase a reliable car that had plenty of seats with leg room and abundant trunk space. I found what I needed in the Sable GS. Affordability and a comfortable ride. Also, I found that we could fit our entire family in the Sable and save approximately 30% on gas alone over our SUV.
