Fun in the sun

Cons

Get the 4 cylinder engine, get better  gas mileage and drive it longer.

Was Fun While It Lasted! — Sebring WAS doing fine up through about 129,000 miles, then suddenly the engine started knocking really bad and then died. We needed to replace the engine for about $4000 or we could scrap the car. We ended up scrapping the Sebring and bought a 1998 Chevy Malibu beater until I could save enough for another and newer car. Still trying to save today. Since we got rid of the Sebring I found out there is a class-action lawsuit being filed against Chrysler on behalf of those owners of Chrysler's 2.7L V6 engine which resides in MANY of their vehicles. There seems to be a design flaw with the engine that creates sludge, even when oil changes are done regularly, and causes the engine to seize like our did.

The Car Has Had No Major Problems But Has More Road Noise Than Desired And Rides Alittle Rough. — Over all the car has been very dependable although the ride is not up to par. Engine power is adaquate and handling good.

Pros

Comfortable, Somewhat Economic, Fancy and a Mean look!

Cons

Lacks Performance, Original Pieces are super cheap and brake easily, Expensive pieces to replace.

35

Not The Most Amazing But A Descent Car!! — This car needs more power but the quality of pieces on it make it expensive to purchase and no performance parts are available for it. Even though this car comes with a 2.4L DHOC engine a merly a 140-150 hp are available on it this car lacks of performance. What you can do is use the 2.0L Mitsubishi performance parts in order to combine it with the Chrysler since it's the same engine but the Reps RPM's are not that easy to control plus the slight displacement of 0.4L makes it sometimes complicated but do-able to give in a more performant and agressive tone to the car!

My Car — I like my car and nothing major has went wront so I hope it stays that way. The seats and everything else seem to do fine no fading but the top is real faded.. I hate that that has got to be the only thing about my car I hate!!!!!

Pros

Great preformance along with great gas mileage!

Cons

Rust seems to be a problem in some areas

35

2002 Chrysler Sebring Sedan Lxi — Preformance-handling is great, acceleration is amazing Build Quality-Awesome quality except for the rust under the hood. Apperance-sharp car, nice chrome accents. Interior is nice looking, Info center is an added bonus, along with the auto shut off headlights. Cost of ownership- 30 highway mpg! Low maintenance Fun Factor-It is sporty and very fast! I would recommend this car to anyone who wants a sporty and fast, but also practical.
