2002 Silverado — Had to get a bigger truck to tow a skid loader around in the winter time. Even though it only has the 4.8 litre engine, it still had plenty to tow. It gets around 16-17 miles to the gallon. Working on the appearance. Has chrome flames in the grille, and chrome flames behind the 1500 on the passenger doors. Has a soft tonno cover and a tent that I purchased for the bed. Soon it will have a chrome brushguard up front. Replaced front and rear pads and rotors, but it still has a slight vibration when braking somewhat hard. I've replaced both front hubs, 1 at around 90,000 miles and the other at around 130,000. Everyone that rides in it is impressed with how it rides. I don't really notice it because I've always had trucks.

My Truck — performance- 33" xtreme mud terrain tires, straight pipes with 5 1/2 inch tips, 3" body lift next week. build qaulity- went through a few wheel bearings from the mud and an alternator after 145k miles appearance- looks and sounds amazing! fun factor- best truck i've ever had!

This Has Been A Great Truck! — Overall this truck has treated me great. Besides lowing a fuel pump a year after i bought it and 170,000 miles in it has been really reliable and almost no maintenance costs. Just pretty happy with the quality and feel of the truck as a whole.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Cost of maintenance (tires).

Overall Very Reliable. Love It — Very reliable. I have made sure to keep the maintenance up on it and have never had any major issues. It has about 130,000 miles on it and runs like the day we got it. Great value for what we paid.

Pros

If your looking for a reliable good truck, mostly highway miles -which is why it has 219,100- but there have been some vehicle updates that was called for at dealer..

Cons

Gas mileage is ok but if you dont mind putting around$100 or so in it to fill it up

Excellent Vehicle — I liked that it was basically maintenance free for now, as the saying goes "dont fix it til its broken" very true, and the power is awesome, no aftermarket exhaust but sounds good w/o one and maybe better with it..

Hearing The Exhaust Roar! — I love this truck, the ride is somewhat questionable, but the fast accerlation and quick stopping of the truck is great. Cost of owernship may be alittle high, but have a roomy truck with great performance is more than I bargined for.

Fun One To Own And Drive — bought it used. mostly stock just a new intake exhaust grill guard and roll bar. and lots of lights. it has been a good truck a real blast to drive. A daily driver. gets ok gas mileage for a truck.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

2002 Silverado — loved the truck, she got good gas mileage , performance was good, the interior was nice my only squabble about that was not have a roll down back window available, i loved the exterior styling with the soft rounded curves that gave you the impression of a woman that they then changed to the hard sharp corners the next year
