Pros

Great power, excellent braking, great handling, enough space for three people, will go many miles before needing anything replaced.

Cons

Lower ball joints crapped out at 68,000 miles.  2002 models seem to have that problem in general with the first set of joints.  Armrest is a bit chincy, gas mileage is on the low side for a small truck (17-19 MPG).

Simply Awesome! — This baby has a 4.3L V6 that hauls ass. It's not the racing kind of power but will easily haul a full size trailer loaded with tractors. It will even haul a boat the size of a condominium. It has been build for the long haul so to speak.

A Great All Around Vehicle — I drive a 02 s-10 extreme with a 4.3 V6. It has quite a bit of power for a small pickup truck, im satisfied with the performance on it. It is 5 speed manual, and is a blast to drive, it could use a little more power but for a first car it is perfect all around. It has style, performance, comfort, and its a good time.

Pros

Its an S10........nothing awesome, it just doesn't suck.

Cons

don't like the brake system, speed sensors seem to go out a lot. At 50 bucks a crack that adds up. Also the oil lines for the relocation kit suck, am now replacing a motor cause a blew one on the freeway.

02 Huntin/fishin Truck — I'm very pleased with this as a Wi truck and would recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive yet reliable truck. Not for the Baja circuit but suits me just fine for the tank trails of FT McCoy for hunting & fishing.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Could Be Better — its a truck does what it should although not very fuel efficient because of a crappy intake design but other than that it has been a very reliable good truck good if you don't like driving a truck because it drives more like a car

Rjz Dime — I love to drive it, its quiet inside, comfortable and gets pretty good gas mileage for a little pick-up. handles well, can't haul much but hey that isn't what it is for. I get a lot compliments, which is nice.

Pros

Easy to drive, comfortable and safe. Good braking and handling for rear wheel drive.
With a Chevy, easy to maintain. Mechanics know it well.

Cons

The gas mileage is probably fine, in the 20's, but that's too low for me.

Classic, Light Duty Pickup. The Kind Of Of Truck Detroit Knows How To Build — Good solid truck. Can haul heavy loads when needed and can fit a surprising amount of stuff in that small bed. Computerized system alerted me to some small problems before they became large. Needs to be better on gas if its so small. I would hold onto if I was keeping my carpentry business.
