The Last Great Muscle Car — I had a 2000 SS SLP Camaro Convertible, traded it in 04 for a C5 corvette. Ive had 2 corvettes since then but always missed my SS, so I finally found one I liked 17,000 miles garage kept mint 2002.

Pros

Cruising around in the summer months with the t-tops off.

Cons

Having to have replaced both catalytic converters before 100k miles

Great Summer Fun Car. — The performance has been optimal overall, excellent acceleration(scares my wife at times), fairly good workmanship for a 10 year old car, appearance is holding well, maintenance has been up to this point relatively inexpensive, definately a fun car to drive.... One of the reasons to hang on to it as long as i can.

Pros

Great car, good performance for a v6

Cons

Handling, Brakes, and trunk space could be better.

Just As Good As The V8 — Has really great performance for a v6. Can for sure keep up and/or beat a v6/v8 Mustang. Handling isn't great. Really tough to steer, but I eventually got used to it over time. Braking isn't so good could be better. The apperance of the car I didn't like at first but it grew on me. Gas milage is what you'd expect from a v6 Camaro of that year. Seeing as how this car has 138,000 miles on it so things break. For example radiator had been on the car since it was first built so the plastic tanks broke, and I replaced the radiator and also went ahead and replaced the whole coolant system. Now I just need to replace the transmission and shocks and it'll be a great runnig car. Over all it's a fun car to drive and own.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Dont Waste Your Money On A Mustang. Spend It On A Camaro! — The car is a blast to drive! Performance is outstanding for an 8 year old car. The car responds well to mods. The only bad thing is the interior is designed with materials that are used in Happy Meals. Has the all mighty LS1 which is now dated with other better performing LS series engines but still can "hang" with modern cars. Mine being an A4 i still get about 22-24MPG. Great car! My oly regret is maybe i would have gotten a 6 speed

Review-2002 Chevrolet Camaro 35th Anniversary Edition — This car is amazing! Performance wise, it has great acceleration, great braking power, and sounds like a muscle car should! Its built solid, no gremlins, looks sharp, especially with the T-tops off, and is so much fun to drive! Peple look when I drive by! And it gets 30mpg on the highway!

Pros

even for a 3800 v-6, it has alot of power and handles well.  i really miss this car.

Cons

i couldn't give my maro 5 stars coz my rear diff had to get trashed before GM did it right. plus i fired the shop that fixed it and went to my trusted shop to repair it properly.

not for wet weather... it met its demise when it went over a greeese slick and spun sideways faster than i could recover it.

35th Anniversary 3800 V-6 Camaro — very roomy interior, sleeek looks, and a great engine/transmission! very easy to repair! i cannot reccomend this car; it is not for everyone. it requires a skilled driver or driver school before lighting up that engine. (;

It drives absolutely wonderful. You think it's low to the ground, so you will feel every little bump. Not the case. Smooth, relaxing, comfortable, fun times!

Cons

If it were a tiny bit bigger on the inside, I would not have to sell it!

This Car Drives And Looks Like A New Car! — I absolutely love this car, I only wish it were a little bigger on the inside! It gets amazing gas mileage. It's an overall excellent vehicle! It's fun to ride around with the top down, enjoying the Summer sun. Words truely can't explain how much this car means to me.

Pros

The 2002 Camaro SS is a classy looking car especially in Pewter. It handles super but the ride isn't that harsh and will stop on a dime. It will get 24 mpg all day long if you keep your right foot under control. The only time this car has been in the shop is for oil changes / inspections.

Cons

It is too easy to get in trouble (with the local constable) while driving this car. The only complaint is sound of tire slap from stress relief seperations in the road, but the auto volume level on the Monsoon sound system takes care of that.

Fabulous, Fun, Sharp, And Cool — My 2002 Camaro SS is the last of the true Camaros, not an over sized Ausie Holden G8 or GTO remake. It is a fun car to drive with more than enough power(345 hp) to get you there in a hurry and yet dossal enough to be a grocery getter. I don't have many miles on the car mostly to car shows and sunny Sunday crusing. The only part that isn't factory is the battery. I ordered every factory option except the traction switch and the 6 disc cd player, glad I did. The car still has that leather smell, COOL!!!

35th Anniversary Ss. — Love the hell out of this car. Only 3,150 of these were every made in North America. Gonna keep her forever if I can. She is wonderful and so pretty! Just needs a few upgrades and she will be perfect! Everything about this car is just amazing. Plus, it is easy to repair anything that needs it.

Z28 — I love the 4th generation camaro, the z28 and the SS are in my opnion the best looking muscle cars of that time frame, the LS1 engine is a real powerhouse pushing 310 horse power, hold on it is a car that is fun to drive
