Pros

Huh?

Cons

Interior, Quality

75

Poor Quality — Typically for Mitsubishi - the quality is not the best. And out of 2.5 engine, only 150 hp, are you kidding me?! The exterior is OK. The interior is not!

Pros

Fast, Sleek, Relatively Cheap, Great Gas Mileage...

Cons

Safety Rating Sucks

I Love My Car! — I love the exterior, very sporty and reminds me of a shark. I love having the antenna in my widow. I love having the automatic stick. Pickup isn't the greatest. My sunroof is off the track & it would cost $500 to fix... but it still works. Gas mileage is amazing. I get 375 to 400 miles per tank (16 gal). Backseat is pretty small as far as head and foot room goes. I bought it used.

Pros

Great looks and solid engine

Cons

Big blind spot and a tad large

2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse — The 3rd generation Eclipse is a great line of cars. Getting into one is like sitting in the cockpit of a fighter jet. All the controls and setting just surround you while to simply enjoy the ride to heaven and back. These cars are just so addicting, I love them so much that I want to go get another one.

Pros

Very dependable. Easy to work on. Nice looking. Good MPG.

Cons

slow off the line

2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse — car has been very dependable. Is a blast to drive. Low end torque is not that great but once it hits around 60 it starts to hit its stride. It looks wonderful and gets great gas mileage. Parts are cheap and total cost of ownership is very acceptable. Would recommend this car to anyone.

Pros

A nice first car, reliable and easy to have some fun in.

Cons

If you are looking for some serious power find something els

I Love The Car, Its My First And Its Been Good To Me So Far. — It is a I4 so its slow and dosnt have a lot of get up and go. It handles alright could use some suspension upgrades. It is decently fun to drive it is manual so it feels good to keep the revs up around a corner. Hasn't needed to many repairs so far. I like the styling, my model came with a small spoiler which I know does nothing for performance but it actually does make the car look better. Good gas milage and not a lot of maintenance.

Pros

Build Quality, Suspension, Body Styling

Cons

Steering, Interior, Lack of Power

75

Ryan's '01 Eclipse — Third gen eclipse is solid, well built, and has more than enough power stock to get you running off the line. Aftermarket support is pretty good, still a few pieces lacking, needs definite attention to detail. Most parts need to be fabricated, and the steering is a little loose. The sporttronic transmission is a breeze, and it's just a fun ride. Not a hardcore following, but then, being original is the key.

Pros

i love everything about my car

Cons

i hate nothing. i do prefer awd though that would of been nice along with a turbo..but still love the v6

Mitsubishi All Day — Mitsubishi is the way to go...its basically a non turbo fwd evo...never had a problem with it since i got it...high miles and it runs like new...would nver leave the mitsubishi family..they are semi expensive to buy dpeneding on your budget but they are WELL WORTH IT. so much fun to drive and its fast but at the same time you are sitting in comfortable leather seats with the sunroof open, windows down, and music blasting. you can go fast and still be comfortable which is hard for most sport cars.gas mileage is pretty good cant complain plus i run 93 in it so it last longer and cleans the injectors.takes off quick and the v6 helps it take off real nice. no matter what low mid and top range is quick and very acceptable for stock. when im done working on the motor over winter ill post more up.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

quick car, sporty slick look, easy to clean and make look good

Cons

transmission failure, kind of loud since it's a hatchback (but i like loud), takes premium unleaded gas, but you can put regular in it, just hope you don't get any engine knocking, and not very much back seat passenger room.

I Would Recommend This Car To Somebody As Long As The Previous Owner(s) Took Care Of It. — I really like eclipses. I like the way the body of the car is designed, how low it sits, the little grooves it has on the sides of the doors, etc. I really like the fact that it's a car that you can do a lot of work to on the body for a car kit, give it better exhaust, tail lamps, theres just so many things you can do to it to make it look slick. It's quite peppy when it needs to be, but my transmissio went out on it with 87,000 miles and cost me a whopping $2200.00 to fix! You do gotta watch how you drive them, because the transmissions on them do wear down quickly. Overall I think they are great cars, they even seem to handle well in quite a bit of snow!
