Pros

if you love jeep get one!

Cons

the a/c goes out on all cherokees

Its A Good Starter Car. — this is a veryy great car over all this is a perfect car other than the small cracks in the paint that you only see in extreams of heat. also the a/c does not work at all. cool air puled through from out side and the windows are good enough though. the acceleration is awesome. better then some cars that iv been in. braking is squshy. fast and can lock but squshy. front disk brakes and rear drum brakes. handling is awesome. havnt fliped yet. i have heard snaps from the plastic dashboard from shrinking and streching due to tempurature. all black inside and teal sparkle blue out side. small door dings on driver side door. about 18-20mpg. no maintenance.all oils are clean. i love to drive this car.

Pros

Off road capable, reliable, fun to drive.

Cons

Harsh ride, not a lot of storage room

It's A Jeep. — If you like nice riding luxury SUV's stay away from this one. If you like an SUV that is reliable and off road capable, then you would like it. This was the last year of the Cherokee, the last solid axle SUV you could buy. After the Cherokee Jeep released the Liberty, which is IFS. There are tons of aftermarket parts for Cherokees, including all kinds of lifts, bumpers, roof racks, etc. Mine is stock right now, but when the warranty is up I plan on lifting it and running 31" tires.

Pros

because it looks bad ass and it will destroy anything in its way

Cons

it will destroy your car

My Jeep Is A Beast — I love my Jeep. It can basically go anywhere at any time, I love the fact that I can do this. The Jeep has a about a 4' lift on it with 33' tall tires. You can't miss me driving down the road because of the tires and the fact I have a heavy duty front bumper that will destroy anything in its path. Also, I have to KC Slim light long range lights mounted on the bumper; these are great to have in really dim light places or if I want to blind somebody :) lol. Bottom line I love my jeep, just wish i got better gas mileage

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Nearly everything.  Only vehicle I ever owned that absolutely nothing broke on it in amost 100,000 miles.

Cons

Choppy bouncy ride (it's a Jeep, not a Cadillac!), rear seat/doors only really useable for children.

One Of The Best Vehicles Ever Built By Any Manufacturer! — This is one vehicle I really regret ever getting rid of. I loved everything about it except the small-ish rear seat and poor rear seat entry thru the skinny doors. I rarely carried passengers though. The 4.0L I6 paired with the Aisin-Warner AW4 transmission made for a blazing fast combination in a vehicle this lightweight. It would shame many the unsuspecting sports car or "ricer" that tried racing me. The ride quality wasn't very good, but it's a Jeep...Who cares? They're not supposed to ride good! MPG was excellent. I averaged 20 MPG and that was with a somewhat heavy foot. The Jeep XJ Cherokee in my opinion was one of the most indestructible vehicles ever produced, and I was saddened when they replaced it with the ugly "me too" SUV called the Liberty.

Cons

Just A Great Jeep — its a great little SUV, has power to pass and tow what i need, braking is decent and i love the way it handlings, gas mileage is decent as long as you don't go over 65 miles an hour and maintenance is pretty easy to do when you have to.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Great low end torque and off road handling.

Cons

Fuel mileage may be a problem for people looking for better economy.

25

Jeep Sets The Standard For Offroad Performance. — Very good low end torque from the 4.0 liter in-line 6 cylinder, and is damn near bomb proof. Fuel mileage isn't the greatest, but to be expectied for an SUV made for running through ruts and rough trails. Off road this truck is almost unstoppable with the right set of tires under it and feels right at home bumper deep in mud.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cons

power windows stop frequently and get stuck,

Jeep — the jeep we own now is my L car and i think it is pretty god,,because of the design to it, its pretty easy to park and isnt too bad on fuel. the four wheel drive gets me where i wanna go, but it has had some problems with the power windows, but other than that its all good

Utility, REAL 4wd, looks, Its a jeep

Cons

IF you want good mileage, and lots of room, look elsewhere.

Its A Real Suv, With Real 4wd, And A Real Reputation. — Its a Jeep, it was designed before Chrysler. In fact it is why Chrysler bought AMC. The AMC 242 is indestructible, with more than enough power for the lightweight XJ. Its not the roomiest, or fanciest, but I think it is beautiful, and is tough as nails. Its no sports car but hey.. does it look like one? I plan on having this jeep for as long as it lasts, and then some!

For Fun, Get One! — Great for off road - light on diesel. Good sound - system. Excellent cruise - control. Good towing vehicle with great torque. Gets a bit "lost" at higher speeds, but that's not what it was built for. Spares are a bit on the expensive side.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
