Its A Headache — good power, sucks on gas, fun to take off the road but def wont buy another one. i've had to put 2 wheel bearings, a transfer case, front driveshaft, and intake gasket into the truck. They are also famous for the dashboard cracking Primary Use: Commuting to work

Total Joy To Drive. — Great truck. Recently hit a tree. The body Crushes really easy, so it is prone for dents. Gas mileage is not great. Driving 130kph, I get about 10mpg, and at 105kph, I get about 14mpg. All around a great truck. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

Buy One — I love DODGE, I think they make the best cars and trucks I have had three Rams and all were excellent My 01 Ram has got to be the nicest of the three its got power everything heated mirrors, four wheel drive + a 9 inch(6 in sus, 3 in body) lift (not Factory) It has the 5.2L 318 V8. Has the fold back doors for the back seat which in the newer Rams rhet dont do any more shes got pretty good acceleration id say the 0-60 is about 7.5 seconds she handles pretty well ive only put about 2k miles on it since i bought it back in december both interior and exterior have a really nice sporty look to them the front end has a nice aggressive look to it. MPG if im lucky 10 MPG but keep in mind its not all factory any more. I havent had to put any work into it yet. All in all Dodge makes one hell of a truck Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Best Bang For Buck — i love my truck, i got it for around 13,000 and it had 54,000 miles on it when i purchased it. the performance is great for a 01, the 5.9 has the power to pull but it has no hitch. very sad i know. put cold air on it, and the power differance in the higher rpms is amazing. | ||

Overall Good Truck, Just Needs Better Gas Milage — The acceleration with this truck is great. It gets up and goes pretty well. The brakes are also good. It still has the factory brakes on it. It is pretty fun to drive, until the drone of the headers gets annoying. The one thing I'll complain on in the interior is the notorious cracked dash. This happens to all late model Dodge's, and it looks ugly. It just ruins the looks of the interior. The gas mileage sucks, but what was you going to expect? 30 mpg? Nooooo, not even close. On a good day, your probably going to get 15 mpg without ripping on it too much. The truck is fun to drive, but once again, the drone of the headers gets annoying after awhile. Overall, good truck even with the gas mileage. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

Nice 1/2 Ton With An Equally Nice Powertrain — This puppy would spin the tires at will! Did a wonderful job of hauling my camper and towing anything I needed to tow. I had it from new and drove it for 6 years. Never had a breakdown of any kind. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

My Lowes/home Depot Ride — Great truck. I have rebuilt my whole house and this truck made many trips to the hardware stores and lumber yards. Awsome 4x4 — This has been a great truck with plenty of power can tow almost anything with it and has been 1 of the best 4x4 that i have every had. only problem is there isn't hardly any leg room in the back and probley has the worst gas miliage than any other truck Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

Good Strong Engine, Like Inside Space, Back Seat Comfortable, Cold Air. — I like the body style. I like inside space. I do not like that the back rest for back is fixed in place can't get behind seat. Dont like having to slide up under steering wheel to reach peddles.i like good cold air. Prosthe exhaust sounds great loud lol. stereo is great. love this truck it's fun but gas is killing me Conshas dents and dings, needs new grille had bug flector on it and chrome peeled off new grille is only $30
