2001 Dodge Neon Base Review
ProsLow maintainance, great milage, space for cargo and people. ConsNoisy cabin(road noise),plastic interior, peeling dash paint,no ashtray, small cup holders w two under dash makes for epic spills, and some swearing. auto Trans works well but makes the car slow till up to speed unless you stomp it clear through the floor. Not recomended for high speed cornering very soft and has a tendency to want to slide mid corner where the edge of panic starts in.

Great Transportation Or Teen Starter Car Parts Are Plentiful And Fairly Inexpensive — Cheap operation costs, easy to get parts, simplicity in design and construction. Controls are in easy reach and placed w thought. No real blind spots to complain about. The microscopic cup holders that will create a soda tsunami due to underdash placement or the center concole one that will most defeanitly start the wife complaining when you swipe it. Primary Use: Family transportation

Good Car For Anyone Who Like Quick 4 Doors. — 2001 Dodge Neon R/T Overall pretty good for a 4 door 4 cylinder car. Its pretty quick off the line but kinda slow on the long run. Hoping to build it up a lil bit maybe put a Turbo in it. Not a Highway car! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Proseconomical Conshow the back seat snaps in place through the body of the car and poorly aligns to the point of making an opening

I Would Recommend This Car To A Friend, But Not Mine Because You Never Sell A Car To A Friend — strong brakes good acceleration drives straight as an arrow hubcabs squeek, has needed new belts and water pump per mileage recommendation, needed a new alternater nice clean appearence in and out nice mileage of about 21 mpgs city, and little maintenance considering its age car is verry fun to drive on long winding roads, i just wish people would learn how to mave out of the way since passing on curves isnt recommended Primary Use: Commuting to work

Fun Car Gets Lots Of Attention — when you open the windows rain drips in. The sunroof has a tic when wet...water gets in somehow when raining and pools in back floor board. Love the comments from others, the rims, the sunroof, the mileage, dependable car fun to drive

ProsFun and easy to drive, a large trunk, and extremely reliable. A+ ConsThere are no cons with this car. It might not have a lot of frills but its inexpensive to buy and maintain, has a cute appearance, and is very, very, very reliable.

A Great Car — I had a 2001 Dodge Neon for almost four years and I have to say that this is one of the very best cars that I've driven. It never broke down and I bought it used. My Neon had cruise, power locks and windows, anti theft, and remote entry. It also had a great paint job, got outstanding mpg, and the A/C and heater worked better than any other car I've been in. I have no idea why Dodge stopped making them and would have gotten another if they still did. (Hint, hint Dodge people)

Neons Get A Bad Wrap Due To The Type Of Clientile Who Own Them. If You Maintain It, It'll Last. — None. It's a great car. it has every option. Traction Control, Leather seats, Leather armrest, 5 speed manual transmission, woodgrain interior trim, heated mirrors, what more could someone want out of a Neon? It's a miniature loaded Chrysler 300 M. Primary Use: Commuting to work
