Best In Class, I Will Always Own Chevys !!! Not Just Personal Opinion, I Own A Shop As Well — one of the most reliable trucks on the road period !!! I know some love ford some love dodge and some love chevy, I grew up a chevy kid, but as a mech. i would much rather work on a chevy than any other !!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

The truck is pretty reliable. I've had it for about two years, and it's never broken down on me. Brakes work well, and the power is strong in the engine, but it takes quite a while to gain speed. 4WD works quite well also. I have never been stuck and have been in some pretty tough terrains with fairly slick tires. Overall, I really enjoy the truck.

Cons

Considering the age, it runs very well, I've just had a few problems with the warning lights coming on the dash for things that are not broken, and I had to change the heating coils once. Also, it has less than desirable gas mileage, especially when pulling a trailer, or in 4WD.

I Rather Enjoy It, And Find It To Be Mostly Reliable. — I really like the truck. Considering the 14 year age, it looks very good next to other vehicles. The heating and cooling has a tendency to be a bit faulty, but it is a quick fix. The power is strong, but it takes time to gain speed, so don't expect to go racing. Also, if you're on a tight budget, get something that sucks up less gas.

Big Blue — My old truck has been so good to me and my family. I've taken this truck on many long road trips and back country trails. She has taken us every where I've wanted to go. I've done many 4 wheeling trips with my buddies in the rock crawlers and I have to say she has been great for those types of outing. I've slept many a night in the bed looking up at the stars way out in the dessert.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

My Z-71 — I love my truck, I traded in a 2000 Honda Civic in on it. The ride is great, decent gas mileage. Good get up and go, handles great in mud, and on the road. Feels very safe would love to have been the first owner of it. My kids love it and so do their friends my wife hates driving it so I know it was be mine and she will not borrow it and return it without gas and dirty. It is a Z71 edition and is fully loaded. I love my heated seats when it is cold out.

It Was A Good Truck Overall — my very first truck. needed new shocks/brakes/and tie rods. had a V6 with ok power. towing wasn't too great but snow/ice/rain/mud/sleet was nothing to it with the all terrain tires and 4x4. it was a great first truck.

Best Truck I Ever Owned! — I liked having a full back seat, but wished the doors opened the other direction. It was difficult for passengers to enter or exit truck in tight parking spaces. I loved how smooth the truck rode and how comfortable the seats were.

Pros

I think its awesome I wouldn't trade it for nun imma keep it untell I die and pay for a plot beside me and my fam for it to be barried.. its has always been there when I needed it and has only broke down when I didn't.. if you want the style and raw horsepower in a truck then go get one and you will see that's chevys don't play thay get the job done

Cons

The tranny

25

2001 Chevy Siverados Are The Way To Go — This is honestly a good truck all except the tranny the 4L60E does not las as long as it should other then that its a good hard working truck it has the style without the lack of horse power the 327 vortex V8 will last as long as you take care of it... And coming from me what I have put this two wheel drive threw it shouldn't be running but its still strong it was and still is ahead of its time

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
