The Toyota Tacoma stayed virtually the same for the 2000 model year.
The 2000 Toyota Tacoma was available in nine different configurations: the Regular Cab, Xtracab, and Xtracab V6 in 2WD or 4WD, Limited Xtracab 4WD, PreRunner 2WD, and PreRunner V6 2WD. The base engine was a 2.4 liter 142 horsepower four cylinder. The 4WDs came standard with a 2.7L 150 horsepower four cylinder. The V6 has 3.4 liters and 190 horsepower. Fuel economy was about 17/20 mpg.
