Pros

Power = 275hp acceleration 0-60 in 5.6 secs, looks, practicality, cargo room, smooth ride, nice suspension and runs quiet even when stepping on the gas :) corners incredibly well definitely an all aroud great car

Cons

cons? what cons, i love everything about it.

Performance And Practicality At Its Best — this car is a work of art in the sense that most performance vehicles that were around in its time weren't practical for everyday run of the mill use but this car can be taken to the tracks and used to get groceries or building supplies and still have room for 5 to be seated comfortably. For a wagon its fast 0-60 in 5.6 secs 1/4 mile in 14.4 secs. Maintence costs are low as long as u don't abuse the engine, and handles remarkably well. If anyone wants a inexpensive yet reliable performance vehicle get a subaru whether it be a forester turbo, a impreza wrx or a legacy gt you will not be disapointed.

Only Car I Could Ever Imagine Driving. Dream Car For So Many Reasons — Performance - Acceleration and speed are mind blowing due to twin turbo set-up pumping out 280bhp with 4wd. 0-60 in 5.9 seconds. Appearance - The RFRB bodykit sets it apart from other legacy's, even though they are rare enough anyway. Cost of ownership - gas mileage isnt the best, but this car is not supposed to sip fuel, it guzzles it down, its a power car, not a prius. Also needs regular oil changes to ensure turbo is runnig to the best of its ability. This car is super fun to drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Love It... Minus The Green. Whose Idea Was It To Make This Color? For Anything? Ever? — LOVES ME SOME SUBIE! Got this whip like 9 months ago and loved it all winter. Never worried of gettin stuck with the subaru does it best all wheel drive. Not quite up to par with the pathfinder, but itll do just fine.

clean lines, built well, comfortable seats, nice sound insulation

Cons

need more power

Good Alternative To The Impreza — The Subaru Legacy (2000-2004) is very comfortable ride and sporty handling. It needs way more power, however. It has lots of trunk space and looks great with 17" wheels. Gas mileage is fair, usually averaging 25-26mpg with mixed driving.

Nice Car On The Outside & Solid Build On The Inside — There were two engines back then, a 2.2L and a 2.5L. The 2.2L came on the base L model and the 2.5L came on the GT and the GT Limited. The 2.2L is totally solid but some 2.5L's had issues with head gaskets and oil leaks. If she is looking at the 2.5L just take it to a Subaru dealership and have them check it out and ask them to verify that it doesn't have any leaks or outstanding recalls. It's worth the $100.

I Really Like This Car — I think overall this car is a very great value and buy. I love the interior and the well rounded power train. The 5 speed manual transmission is very precise and shifts are very smooth. The All Wheel Drive is a great system and is full time.

Cons

It's a Subaru

If You Don't Mind Subarus, Then I Would Recomend Them. — It's a good car. Very reliable. Fast take off for a non-turbo (not overally great though), love the look of it and doesn't cost much to own. It is a fun car to drive baring the fact that it's a Subaru.

My Subi — i love this car. it was great but i did need low-pros. i had snow tired on it which made it slide alot but thats what i liked so much about it. i could slide with ease in an all wheel drive car.
