Pros

Dollar for dollar the best performance car out there (in my humble opinion) there just isn't a more reasonable way to experience the one of a kind feeling you get driving a Porsche!

Cons

got to put the money into the IMS fix because you don't want to spend $16,000 on a new engine for a car that may retail for $20,000 or less

Love This Car - But Just A Little Bit Less Than My Old '92 911 — it's amazing that you can buy a car with 20,000 miles, for less than $20,000 when it cost almost 3 times that much new. The S is definitely worth the extra cost, and the 2000 and up models are better than the early ones. But truth be told, even a base 97 is a whole lot of fun on a sunny day and winding road

Pros

The tiptronic box was already a jewel at the time. The 2014 model is even better.

Cons

2 seater...

My Fastest Commute In Hong Kong & In Nyc — The poor-man Porsche is an amazing car to drive. Perfect handling and especially cornering and braking. Hong Kong roads are very hilly and narrow and it was a pleasure to drive there with the Boxster S. Thanks to the great tiptronic box. Tried recently the Cayman S in NYC.... to compare with the latest Jaguar F-Type V8S who is a fine and elegant car, but too heavy. So the Porsche Boxster / Cayman is still ahead. God knows I love every bit of this car's handling. A great car became almost perfect... for the car enthusiast, who is not a family man.

Pros

As the second owner I have enjoyed driving the car in all weather conditions without incident.  My wife and I have taken three long distance trips without too much trouble with packing compromises.

Cons

Not really a con … it is a two-seater sports car!

A Great Car …a Unique Color! — I have loved this car for 11 years. It is the fourth Porsche I have owned and is one of my favorites because of the style, handling and power. The unique color is also a major plus which made me fall in love with it.

Pros

I love the original Boxter look. When Porsche created the Boxter it was meant to evoke the feeling of the Porsche 550 Spyder of the 1950's; light, fast and with handling like its on rails. The Boxter S achieves all those attributes while providing a lot of creature comforts too. Porsche's are all 'bullet proof' and mine has certainly been a gem. It only rests in the garage, it doesn't go there to get fixed!

Cons

It's not as fast as my son's Porsche Turbo. Sometimes a little tricky to get in and out of…especially against a high curb.

It's A Great Little Ride. — The 'S' model of the Boxter is an all-around better car than the base model not only because of the extra engine size, translating to higher horsepower and torque but also because of the bigger brakes and the six speed transmission. Yes, you do give up a minimalist back seat (suitable for the under 8 set) that comes with the 911, but you get a true roadster look and feel in the bargain. Unlike the 911 convertible that, in a pinch, can serve as a family second car, the Boxter S is a full on sports car with no allowances for extra riders. If you want to haul around a bunch of friends or the wife and kids, this is not the car for you. If, however, wind in your hair and an attachment to the road that feels almost physical gets your adrenalin surging and you can manage to ride duo or alone without it causing social pain, this just may be your ultimate ride.

Great All Around Sports Car. — I love this car i know alot of people rather have the 911 but i think the Boxster is a great comprimise. You get the looks the sound and feel of the original Porsche sports car with out the hefty price tag. If you opt for the S model you will get even more out of this fantastic mid engine car.

This Is A Near Perfect Sports Car For The Enthusiast Looking For Open Air Fun — The Boxster light, nimble and perfectly balanced - everything you would want in a sports car. Porsche quality is also exceptional. This is a near perfect sports car for the enthusiast. Only negative is the 250 horses. It would be nice to have more power, but then why would you want a 911 ? The car is built to drive topless on sunny afternoons.

High Styling At An Affordable Price — There is not much to not like about this car. Plenty of cargo space for traveling, comfortable and a joy to drive. Could use more hp for those power junkies but and overall great car. Tiptronic transmission found on some is a bit pricey when new but a great way to have both an automatic and manual transmission in one.

Crown Jewel Of Sports Cars — This car is great. A real head turner wherever I go. It has great features and great handling on the road. I'm only selling mine to upgrade to something larger. This is still one of the best in the luxury car market.

Performance For A Bargain. — Excellent weekend/performance sports car for a bargain. Will outperform any car in its category given similar trim levels. This roadster is meant to be driven hard and meant for the driver that wants to feel the road. You will feel every groove, bump, and crack in the road. Significantly cheaper than its older brother, the 911, the Boxster still delivers speed and agility comparable to the Carrera.
