2000 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4WD Review
ProsPretty good car. Did not drive it much, but it would have gone the distance. ConsA bit smaller than the luxury SUV of the 2004 plus variety. But, it held it own.

Pretty Good Suv — Liked everything. Really no complaints at all. It ran well for 10 plus years. Almost no repairs were needed. Minor thermostat issues at 40K miles. That is about it. The more I think of it except for being 10 years old and looking a bit out of date it was an excellent all round car for city and highway. Feel safe in getting one. Primary Use: Family transportation

2000 Ford Explorer XLT Review
ProsWonderful vehicle that will suit a small family. No problems and very reliable! Carries roof racks, kayaks, canoes, and many more things if you like to explore!!! ConsFuel efficiency for long commutes. Averages 17mpg. If treated right will give you 20!

Fantastic Deal On A 2000 Ford Explorer With Low Miles!!!! — Loved driving this car in any weather! Never fear the rain with the new tires and size of this wonderful SUV! It has served as a wonderful second vehicle, and incredibly reliable. Low miles due to only being second owner. Very well maintained interior and exterior! Could use a little paint touch up on top near the roof rack but other than that clean and clear car!!!! Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsThe power in the engine ConsPoor handling

Cheap Car — The car had a nice engine, good power etc. Though it handled like the earlier Explorers. Interior had enough room for two comfortably, but lacked the SUV space expected. The price was right, so I bought it. Though it wouldn't happen again. Primary Use: Commuting to work

2000 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4WD Review
ProsHandling is very good, breaks are great, seats are very comfortable (their heated), the exterior looks (in my opinion) fantastic, I love the way it looks. ConsThe biggest con I have with it is that the radio display doesn't work, ive tried two different stereos and they both didn't work. Other cons...oh the back wipers don't clean the whole window, only half of it. No other cons

Very Reliable Truck/suv — The only things I didn't like about this car is the radio display doesn't work and the back wipers don't fully work. Otherwise it's a perfect truck/SUV for everyday commuting, it's surprisingly good on gas too. I highly recommend the 2000 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Prosthe v-8 and awd Consthe sticky eccelerator

Exceptional For Experiensed Drivers. — it is a v8 all wheel drive. th only down fall is that the cab is small, and the undercarriage is rusty. has a sticky accelerator so you have to add more pressure to it every so often. it is really fun to drive it is just the smooth leather seats are a problem when we hit a pot hole or go over a curb Primary Use: Family transportation

Love It — Lifted 2" all around. Brown wire modification for the 4wd. Gets about 19 miles per gallon highway. Fun to take off-road. Drives great in the snow. The only time I got stuck was because I needed new tires and couldn't get enough traction. Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsGreat first vehicle for anyone not too big or too small nor too much power ConsAfter driving it so long you do kinda wish for a V8

Clean As I Can Keep It — Accelerates fairly considering its only a V6 Braking is excellent Handling is very good although the vehicle being top heavy prevents tight cornering Very fun to drive in the snow Gets 15 mpg highway 10 city Has no exhaust from the headers back so it's pretty loud Primary Use: Commuting to work

2000 Ford Explorer — Perfomance- the car has good power and all around perfomance, good offroad and in the snow, never had trouble in any weather Build- i've had to put it in the shop every year since i've had it, and the car's AC and heater controls are nothing special Apperence- the shag mobile Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsDecent looking vehicle ConsToo many to list

Cheap Build, Expensive To Maintain The Little Things — Clock and radio display stopped working the month after I bought it. I have to keep a jar full of 7.5 fuses to keep my windshield cleaner sprayer working b/c they burn out on a monthly basis. Has been under recall for cruise control issues for years, my local dealer has YET to make time to repair my vehicle....the list goes on, and on, and on....Now the transmission is getting ready to go....
