Heavy Duty, Dependable, Tough Ass And Still A Luxury Vehicle — this truck has style and performance with a v10 engine... never has givin any problems, and will never as long as there is always proper maintainance...as any owner should remember! only 1 recall from ford on the cruise control peice...wich ford took care of... gas prices do not help since she averages just about 15 mph highway....but with a knn air filter put on ...that helps a bit...big truck strong hauling capabilities and still lux looking interrior...leather seats wood grain dash peice and console... we love it!!

Got To Get One If U Dont Have One!!!! — This SUV is the top of the line in Land yachts. The Electra 225 started it and the Ford Excursion redefined it!!! The thing i really love about my truck is the space had a gmc suburban before the ford and i know the troubles chevy put out in those suv's. As far as gas the in town is about 11.3 and the hwy gets up to about 14. I can do everything i need with this SUV the only thing i wish it had was the power folding 3rd row seat.

Great Vehicle. — I can not complain with mine having seating for 8 and being able to hold as much as a regular SUV cargo area, the fuel economy is outstanding, I am getting 30 MPG Highway, yes, it is a diesel, but I can not complain, I only fill it up once a month, it handles quite well, it looks good on both the inside and the outside, it is a great vehicle for going on ski trips, vacations, RVing, or whatever you need to do, it is remarkably agile and other than a few run of the mill issues, everything on the vehicle is working like a dream.

Pros

Room for the whole family and our dogs while still pulling our trailer.

Cons

Needs a few upgrades to be perfect out of the box.

It's Awesome — The ultimate SUV with the ultimate engine and transmission. With this combo, it gets over 20 mpg and can still tow like a truck. The 12V cummins is the most simple and reliable engine available for light trucks. Some upgrades are needed to make this SUV completely bulletproof.

Pros

Very reliable, very big, very strong.. everything you want and expect from the largest suv in the market.

Cons

If you are even looking at this beast, fuel consumption shouldn't be an issue.

I Love My Excursion. So Much So, That If I Don't Sell It.. I'm Completely Happy Keeping It Forever. — The only thing I don't like about this truck is it is very hard reaching the back spark plugs.. the engine is HUGE and goes on forever Ü. Can haul anything, anywhere... As a basketball coach and a boater - I've had no problems carrying things .

Love The Room And Crash Ratings! — Good quality, cheap cost of ownership any one can do repairs if needed. Low theft risk. Good safety ratings. Like the truck like look, when you see one on the road they are often mistaken for a F250 or F350 from the front.

Its Ford Haha — white exterior, handles bumbs very well; you can get some air on some =]. corners are kinda scary if they are sharp i guess. speed isnt a problem. tons of space inside, has 8 seats. great overall "car", ford should have kept making them. =[

The turbo

Cons

Handling/acceleration

Big — I have the 7.3. Lots of torque but could use more HP. I have a 4 inch lift and it gets a little sluggish with acceleration. Good towing capacity though. The handling is also something to be desired, as expected with a 9000lbs truck.
