ProsNice handling. Great brakes. Very smooth power band. ConsUnreliable. This was a special order and they still didn't give me the options I asked for.

On A Flat Bed 3 Times In 10 Months — Engine died with 3000 miles on it. Just stopped dead on the highway pulling out of a toll booth. Another time it died with the motor fine, but unable to move - broken CV joint or something. Last time on a flat bed was a shift cable falling off so I couldn't get the car in gear.

Just A Great Sports Car — Just a great car to drive. It handles like a dream and just around 5,000 rpm it sounds amazing. You shouldn't worry too much about the cost because the fun you get out of it makes it all worth it. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

Title In Hand — Handles the road very well, has all the bells and whistles, and very fast. Just getting old and don't need the speed. Easy to install the hard top. Takes 2 to place the top on. Unpretentious Good Reliable Fun Sports Car: Porsche's Miata — This is Porsche's version of a Miata. Solid,responsive,fun to drive, makes you look forward to driving to work. Easily used as a daily driver with a remarkable amount of storage space between the front and rear trunks --which will easily accommodate golf clubs. This car is not driven for its speed (which is actually quite good)but for it's handling ability. Handles well in the rain but you live for those sunny top down days. Gas mileage is good and maintenance costs are less than the other Porsches. All Porsches seem to have their various vintage and model related idiosyncracies but none detract from the pleasure and quality of the Boxster. Of the four Porsches I have owned, the Boxster is THE BEST PORSCHE of all because it remains a wind-in-your-hair SPORTS CAR. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

ConsHated the fact that the battery would go dead in a short time - four weeks of inactivity - and then only a dealer could fix the situation for hundreds of dollars (opening the front hood requires electricity, and that's lacking if the battery is dead - duh. And Porsche still puts out cars with the same issue even now, eight years later).

Gorgeous — Hated selling mine, but it was time. Great handling car, incredibly fun to drive, better-than-anticipated trunk space (front and back!), people notice you. Mileage nothing special (about 24 mpg highway), tires need to be replaced every four years or so. Owner for 7 years, 6 months Miles Driven per Year:6,000 | ||

I Love This Car. — It is a truely fun car. I can use it open top and close top. In California everyone should own a convertible. I bought this car to turn in for the Spec Boxster race. And I decided to keep this as a street since the condition of the car is really nice. I used it for commuting to work, autocrossing with Porsche club, and doing Driver Ed (DE) at the big track. It is an excellent multi-function fun car. Since I bought another Boxster for track, this car is back to the street trim. And enjoying it for the tours on the California back country road with fellow Porsche owners in the weekends. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Awesome Car — Wish I had never Wrecked it. Greatest vehicle I have ever owned. Never had a major problem. The only downside is that it should not be used as a daily driver, but a weekend/fun car only. Also not that comfortable on long trips, but then again it is a porsche, I'd still buy another one. | ||
