Prosgood gas mileage, comfortable, dependable, stylish ConsNone to speak of.

Great Car — This is my wife's car. We have always loved it. It is a 4 cylinder, but it has enough giddy up to get you where you need to be. We have kept up with the usual routine maintenance, and are very pleased. It has been a relatively inexpensive car to own. The gas mileage is very reasonable and is very dependable.

ProsFun to drive. Good Mileage. Still looks good after 10 years. ConsPaint Issues. Power window failures.

1999 Honda Accord Coupe - Fun, Reliable, Affordable — This was my second Accord Coupe, so that should tell you something right off the bat. I loved the look of this car from the day it came out, and think it still looks pretty good for being 10 years old. It's the V6, so it makes about 200 HP. It's a fun and sporty drive, but not high performance by any stretch. Still, for being pretty sporty it gets about 30 mpg on the highway, and 23-24 mpg around town, if I behave and don't stomp on it too much. A couple of negatives for the car: The power windows seem to be weak. I have had two driver's side failures and one passenger side. At $600 a pop to fix, that gets old pretty fast. The other issue is that the clearcoat on the roof of the car is failing. Estimate from the paint shop is about $1000 to fix. I have put 130,000 miles on this car in 10 years. I put 160,000 on my first Accord, a 1989 coupe. If you are looking for an affordable, fun to drive, dependable automobile, you can do no better than the cars of Honda.

Best Little Honda In Virginia! — update. 12 years old 308k+ miles - still going strong! hard decision to do 100k check for timing belt and water pump, or save that expense towards a new car (most likely will be a honda) My car is perfect!! William & Angie will agree that the ideal car for me would clean and wash itself!! It is almost 10 years old, I have kept up with most of the maintenance, especially the major stuff. Performance is excellent - at times I am even impressed by its acceleration. Braking and handling are always predictable. You can't beat the quality of the build, no squeaks, and rattles have been easily repaired. One major accident with Bambi proved the exceptional design of the car. Though my air condition compressor was damaged, the car was still safe to drive, though I would not leave it like that. The sleek design makes it look like it's moving fast even when standing still. The interior design may not be superior but it has a few extras like holder for sun glasses and a hidden nicknack compartment - great for spare change. All controls like air, stereo, windows, sunroof, and cruise are within easy reach. Let's talk about fun - 5 speed stick shift!!! What's not fun???? If you don't drive a stick, you wouldn't understand! Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsHonda Quality ConsOnly bad thing is automatic door locks are not working well now (9 year old car though).

1999 Honda Accord — Quality - no problems with the car. bought it at 50000 miles, it has 100000 miles now with no issues. The stock hubcaps and steel wheels were cheap and generic looking. So aftermarket wheels make it much more unique. The car is fairly economical and can hold the whole family. I am pretty happy with it and would definitely recommend to friends.

ProsGood gas mileage. Inexpensive maintenance. Good ergonomics. Reliable transportation. ConsEasy to dent. More basic than luxurious.

Basic Is Good... — 31+ mpg. The manual states a 7500 mile service interval but I change oil every 5000. Simple to replace headlights and taillights, not so simple to replace turn signal lights. Smooth and forgiving 5-speed manual transmission. Good build quality -- no rattles; a small squeak in the driver's seat; easy to dent and tear body panels and bumpers; solid "thump" when you close the doors. Exterior styling is a bit bland but not dated. Wish a more luxurious interior was available when I bought the car, but the ergonomics are good. Easy to drive, easy to park.

This Is A Great Car To Drive — Performance: Acceleration = Good Braking = Good Handling = Good Quality: might need some small repairs, when backing up, the car squeeks Apperance: Tan fur seats Cost of Ownership: Gas Milage = Good Maintenance = Good Fun Factor: The car is really good to drive, I mostly like the Cruise Control when on the highway or thruway. Durring the summer, instead of having the AC on, I can open the Sun Roof. Primary Use: Commuting to work

A Good Investment And Reliable Vehicle — Everything on this car works well except for some of the electrical parts such as door locks and a couple dash lights. It gets good gas mileage and always gets me where I want to go. I have never run it hard so for me, it's not fun as much as it's practical Primary Use: Commuting to work

Wife's Car — This is actually my wife's car, but oh well. This car has been great to her and me and I hope to have this car for many years to come. It is a little sluggish on steep hills, but then again so are most four cylinders. I have had it up to 135 mph and it handles like a dream. Gets great gas mileage and is comfortable to drive/ride in.

Prosgood handling, fun to drive ConsI wish it had all wheel disk brakes and a five speed

A Good Midsize Sedan — I have always liked the Accord model and have had good past experience with Honda so when I decided that I would like to buy a sedan with good aesthetics, performance and reliability the Accord was pretty much a "no-brainer". I have been nothing but happy with my Accord. I also chose the Accord because I knew there are alot of aftermarket parts availible for it so I could do alittle customizing and make it "My Accord".
