1999 Ford Explorer — I love my Car. Acceleration is great and handling is sweet. Handles rad at 100mph. I broke the axel but other than that its rad. I love the DVD player and pop out screen and the leather seats. Gas is not bad at all. It takes about 35 to fill. Maintenance is pretty simple, oil, brake pads exc... this car is fun to take on road trips. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

99' Explorer Sport — I love my truck its been good to me so far. it handles llike its sposed to like a brick haha. has terrible gas millage but its pretty good. it currently needs to b fixed because the wheel barings are warn out. its fun to drive and gets me to places that i want to go. | ||

It Is An Okay Car. — It is pretty comfy. Has tan swede interior and pearly white paint. runs pretty smoothly. I don't really know how many miles. It gets about 20 miles to the gallon which isn't to shabby. It isn't real fast or slow. Carries 5 people and has a V6 engine. More comfy in back seat than in the front. | ||

My Exploder — I love my explorer. It'll take me anywhere i want to go I just put some brand new 31x10.50 BFG All Terrain TA's on it. I have 196 thousand miles on it and it still runs great. It's not fast by any means but it has enough torque to haul my boat or my trailer. i have had to do some work on it. but power steering pumps and ball joints will always always go out any car. the only thing i don't like about it, is the gas mileage. I drove all interstate on one tank of gas and i averaged 14 miles a gallon with the cruise set at 65. and it doesn't have the 5.0 or the 4.6L v8's. i have the 4.0L Over Head Valve V6 . Overall I love the truck | ||

Eh........ — Its ok i have had quite a few mechanical problems. It has an awseome sound sytem....well mine does. Its performance is awful, the brakes are decent but nothing special...at all. Im not very happy qith it i love muscle cars so getting this car was insanely dissapointing. | ||

This Was My First Car, I Loved Theresa, But She Was A Pos — No one forgets their first car, and this was my dream car at the time. I got it senior year in HS and was in love. That was, until everything started falling apart. Hoses, sensors, even the rear glass fell apart. Although, she made it to LA twice, tahoe, and many other places without so much as a peep. | ||

The Smoke Still Lingers 10 Years Later — Every Explorer is different. Mine in particular is a love-hate relationship. It's 10 years old so it certainly needs/has had its share of repairs. Aside from that however, I love everything about it. The '02 Explorer I had before this one is a little quicker, but it can still giddyup when it needs to. I've added a K&N filter and flowmaster 40 w/ 2.5'' pipes to give the 4.0L some breathing room, as well as an Almani 800W 4 channel amp, Kenwood headunit, and 4 Alpine 5x7's at 250W a piece to enhance my own experience. |
