1999 Corvette A Great American Sport Car — This car is sooo cool. You will certainly drive this car with a smile on your face. It looks great and is surprisingly comfortable. It has it all. Performance, looks, comfort, gas mileage, active handling, even decent hatchback storage with a 12 disk cd changer, Bose sound system, after market chrome wheels with new Michelins for a better ride. The Goodyear fun flat tires were very noisy so they had to go. Black Hawk exaust & Corsa exaust system give this car about 400 hp and boy doess it sound good. Lots of torque. Looks like it needs a ticket just sitting still.

Beautiful — I love this Corvette, Handles, Looks, catches the eyes, custom Rim, Tire, Rotor, Caliper Package. It Is The Nicest Cars I Have Ever Seen For Under $20,000. — Driving it is a thrill! It is a definite super car for under $20,000! Acceleration immediately causes the back wheels to go off veer and then back straight. It is quite a sight and feel to drive this Blue Ghost. Its an amazing car all around. ProsA real eye catcher! It;s true what they say about the gas mileage. If you don't lay into it too much, it will consistantly get 27mpg. Hugs the road like no other. ConsRide like a lumber wagon. C6 is a smoother ride.

Classy And Sexy. If It Were A Woman, I'd Marry Her.......... — This vehicle is a screaming meany. But, I do have to admit that the C6 models are alot faster and offer a smoother ride. But, if you are looking for a little more budget minded entry price into the world of vettes, this is it. Turns heads everywhere that I go. | ||

ProsIt's a Corvette first and foremost, that's all that nees to be said! However, I'm a female so I won't/can't stop there. She's one sexy ride. Handles like a dream. Love the instrument panel and HUD (heads up display). If you can keep your foot out of it then you can get around 28/29 mpg which I found surprising since it is an 8 cyl, great for road trips. Truly a joy to drive and reasonably inexpensive to maintain compared to most other sports cars. Excellent stock Boise sound system. Lord that thing rocks! The two top option is cool, you can either sport the solid or smoked glass top. ConsTwo person vehicle. It is very accommodating for tall people but not overweight friendly and sits fairly low to the ground so if you're not in shape it can be difficult to get in and out of. The vehicle itself sits pretty low so you really have to watch humps/bumps until you get used to it. The seats hardly recline at all. It has run flat tires, which are stock for my '99 and are rather expensive and if you cannot afford the run flat tires there is no area for a spare tire. When you have the top off there is virtually no room in the hatchback where you store the top.

Of All The Vehicles I've Owned Thus Far, This Has Been My Favorite! — The ONLY thing I do not like about this vehicle is the fact that the seats can't recline, due to obvious reaons. It really sucks when you're traveling and need to pull over for a quick nap, but I doubt that would concern anyone under the age of 40. But still, after the nephew/niece no longer want to hang w/their Aunt and I won't need a 4 door, I will buy another Corvette. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

It Doesn't Sit In A Garage , Its Driven All The Time As My Primary Vehicle! — 1999 corvette with a 6 speed. Borla exhaust with no mufflers , cold air intake , no other mods. Low maintenance cost , not much has gone wrong. Had a fuel leak at one of the sending unit bolts. used an o ring as a washer and stopped the leak. Glove box latch broke. Key fob stopped working. no other problems. I drive it almost every day as a daily driver. Gets between 14 to 17 mpg city and gets between 27 to 33 mpg on the highway depending on speed. I have gotten 33 mpg at 65 mph on a long trip. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

You Cannot Go Wrong With A Daily Driver Like This And Beat Up On It Every Weekend! — Great performance for the BUCK! Acceleration is for this year against newer vehicles is still quick! A 0-60 time on average is 5 sec. to 4.7 sec. w/stick! Stock brakes fade after high speed deceleration, they WILL WARP! The Vette is confident and predictable when pushed and you know it's limits when the tail comes out! I pushed my car to it's limits, with the TOP OFF it will do 165 mph on the speedo! The exterior styling of this model run is low and sleek! Interior is plastic and easy to clean but my interior is all black and will bake your backside! Batteries and tires is all I have put into the vehicle so far, as well as regular required maintenance so cost of ownership is relatively cheap! The car is a blast to drive, easy to maintain and can be modified to rediculous power levels! Spare parts are everywhere! I have recommended 1999 or newer to my friends and 3 friends took my advice and actually purchased one for their use and love it! The car is great to drive and is comfortable on a long trip and you can carry lots of luggage in the back! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

Quick As Hell. Its Worth It. — Vette's are just pure power. Chevy didn't really put the most thought into styling when they built the C5. Everyone was already taken back by how different it looked compared to the C4. Its LS1 threw everybody off guard with how much torque it really had and just how much punch there was. I love it but i could go for some more styling details. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |
