ProsThe handling is great. Very reliable car. Power is peppy. Best gear box i have ever driven ConsMaintenance can be expensive

Awesome Daily Driver — I am the second owner of the car and i have put over 80k miles on the car in 8 years. I couldnt ask for a better daily driver. It is nearly time for me to move on but my kids will use it to learn so i can pass on the skill of driving a manual gear box. Primary Use: Commuting to work

1999 Bmw 3-series — A very nice car to own for someone to only be in high school. It is awesome to drive for how old it is it seems to handle if it is brand new. It's nice to know you have the fastest car out in the parking lot sometimes when compared to fellow peers.

I Can Only Recommend If You Get A Warranty With This Vehicle. — Performance: acceleration was able to beat mustangs off the line - braking was good - handling is tremendous on curvy back roads, that's where this handling was made for Build Quality: very solid build, everything is very high quality Appearance: beautiful, elegant, sporty, stylish, powerful all at once Cost of Ownership: gas mileage was around low 20s but I drove it pretty hard - maintenance... here's the doozy... after one month of ownership the manifold cracked and leaked all the antifreeze on my way home from work. Needless to say the engine was totaled. My options were $6k to repair, or cut my losses and move on. I chose the latter. Primary Use: Commuting to work

An Introduction To The Ultimate Driving Machine. — This is my toy and my baby,I chose my car over the last girlfriend...mine is the convertible, leather interior and not many thing in the way of gauges and such,it is after all a BMW,they don t pack their cars with gauges and useless junk,it is obviously not the most powerful car on the road, but it s power is more than adequate for it s size and it is and feels like a BMW....but then if I have to explain it,you won t understand....I love my baby car. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Makes You Love All Things Bmw — we really enjoy this car. it looks amazing for being 13 years old and still catches people's eyes. it's actually very tough to sell. we waited for 2 years to sell because it's been such a dream car and we only wish our kids were a bit older so we could pass along to them. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsSport suspension, strong engine, reliability, quickness, interior wood trim, fold-down rear seats allow for huge increase in cargo, head-turning good looks. ConsGetting on in years, repair costs, driving in snow/ice, lack of heated seats.

Russ' Red Rocket — I love this car. It is my 2nd E36 BMW. My third will be the E46 M3 sedan. It drives great in all weather, save ice/snow. RWD does not perform well in those conditions. But, where I live, we deal with snow/ice none too often. Although just under 200hp, the very torquey engine leaps the car off the line and makes for very enjoyable & spirited driving. 328i Se — Excellent handling, good power from smooth straight six, fully loaded with Factory SATNAV, TV Harman Kardon audio, Leather Electric Seats, Alpina Suspension allround, Alpina 18" Wheels with wide rears, Remus sports exhaust. Goes and sounds gret especially for a car this old.

ProsEverything with the exception of Fuel Economy. ConsFuel economy - about 400 miles a tank of 62L.

Buy One — It's only a 1.9L so power is up there for a first car but not the greatest in the world. its cost me little to none as far as maintenance goes bits of rust appeared just after i bought it. there is leg room in the back though given im tall, not enough for an adult to fit comfortably. BMW is built to handle so this is one of the car's key features and it does handle superbly especially in the twisties. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
