A Good One To Begin With Porsche — Performance - acceleration, handling, max. speed Build quality - nearly no repairs Appearance - both interior and exterior styling Cost of Ownership - not so expensive (tax ok, insurance ok, 22 MPG, maintenance a little bit expensive) Fun factor - extremely fun car! You really can enjoy it!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Best handling car bar none

Cons

Suspect image and build quality for earlier cars

1998 Porsche Boxster 2.7 — Best handling road car I have ever driven, and that includes some exotic supercars. The 3.2S has performance, perfect balance, perfect feel and handling. The build and materials quality was a little suspect in earlier models, but this is unbeatable for the money. Blows the Z3 / Z4 and SLK into the weeds.

Zoom Zoom — If you can get by with two seats and 2 smallish trunks... you should get one! Fast, fun, and not as expensive as people assume.

2000 Boxter S — I drove both the standart boxter and the boxter S, standart boxter is not a lot to mention but the S is a fun car to drive

Pros

This car is a lot of fun.  It's fast, sporty and great for the carefree summer days when you can drop the top.

Cons

Not very many cons to speak of other than the fact that it is small...this is to be expected with a sports car, though!

Overall A Great Car! — I have really enjoyed this car. I had a corvette prior to this and was a bit spoiled with that, but this is probably a close second to that one. (The only reason the corvette wins is because it is faster.) Otherwise, though, the Porsche Boxter is really a great car and I get a lot of compliments on it.

Pros

Handles great like a road course car should. Great on gas 330 miles on 13 gallons! Go up tp 60 mph in second gear. Two trunks good for golf clubs in back and suitcases in front. Mid engine weight back wheels well!

Cons

Very tight for engine work. well engineered, but the more engineered...the more things need to be maintained.

Great Handling Sports Car! Great On Gas...hate To Give It Up! — Not much, other than the OEM parts can get expensive. Handles great like a road course car should.
