ProsGreat performance and looks aggressive ConsVery Expensive parts and gas

Great Sports Car — Great performance car- a very good amount of horsepower. Looks very aggressive with the WS6 Ram Air Hood and sounds aggressive with the 3" inch Borla catback exhaust. And Pontiac does not make them anymore. Love this great, fast car Primary Use: Commuting to work

1998 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Review
Prossurprising quickness, handling, braking, design - and hey, it previously owned by my late Father, his protege Larry, and then my Sister before she gave it to me. Cons17 - 20 mpg, tires used to be expensive before all the over size rims took over, replaced transmission at 110,000 mile and rear end is going out with 120,000 miles on it (this will be the third rear end, unfortunately this one will not be under factory warranty - so I will be waiting to replace it)

Quick... — The 1998 Trans Am WS-6 is probably the fastest car I have been in, ever. 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds, 1/4 mile in the high 12 low 13 seconds. 5.7 Litre LS-1 Corvette engine with Ram Air (320 hp, 335 ft/lbs of torgue) aluminum drive shaft, cross drilled rotors (after market), tuned single 3" exhaust and suspension, 275/40ZR-17" tires all the way around - a great package. Cars I have raced and beat include: 1998-2002 Corvettes, Mustangs of all vintages and types including the supposedly fast new Mustang GT, Porches (Cayenne Turbo and 911), Camaro SS, Mercedes Benz S55 AMG, Nissan 300zx turbo, etc... I didn't manage to get the two Ferrari owners who happened to be next to me at the red light to take the bait - but oh well. I don't drive this car as much as I would like - it always wants to be driven so fast ;)

ProsIt's a great, sexy car perfect weekend getaway car. ConsI bought the car used and the seats had to be replaced but I found some electronic ones on EBAY for cheap, and the oxygen sensors are always burning out.

1998 Pontiac Firebird Formula Review
ProsHello! Just look at it! The t-tops, the power (5.7 liter V8, LS1 engine), the overall appearance, the curves, the headlights that flip up, the honeycomb taillights, the exhaust, the acceleration... need I keep listing things? ConsIt's not meant for more than two people to be in at a time, but the backseats do fold down for extra storage space if needed. (Like it matters)

I Love My Car — I chose my car because it was a great buy and a quality product. I bought it as a sort of project car to build and also just to have for fun . My car started out as a daily driver, but I since I work so far away it put a lot of miles on my car quickly. To keep the miles off of it and keep it in good condition, I decided to put it away until spring and I bought a winter car. I enjoy everything about my Firebird and I truly wouldn't change a thing.
