I Love This Truck! — I bought this truck used in 2006. I wanted a very nice looking pickup that got good gas mileage and still and power and good acceleration. I have beat 1 2.2L Chevy S-10 and 2 4.3L V6 Chevy S-10's. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone!

Cons

Take It If It's Given To You - Then Sell It. — 3.0 V6 - underpowered and a gas hog Suspension - what suspension... Brakes - use the 2 minute rule Power steering - dubbed 'the howling' Interior - not bad Noise - Say what? Auto parts stores will love ya! They look good sitting still...in the front yard...with weeds around it.

Pros

Cons

gas is kinda bad

35

Awesome! — Absolutely awesome, only downside is I get like 15 MPGs but its what you get with a truck. no repair needed and appearance is great. gas costs me about 20 dollars per week but gas is high now and i go 30 minutes or more everyday each way

Pros

Sturdy, reliable

Cons

Blend door easily broken

35

1998 Ford Ranger — Minor faults that appear to be common in fords - blend door broke so truck only blows hot air. Besides that, this is a great truck. Mine is 12yrs old with 184k. With regular oil changes and a little tlc, this truck is still going strong!

Pros

nice appearance and decent fuel economy

Cons

lack of power

Ford Ranger Four Cylinder — This truck barely counts as a truck. It is slow with a four cylinder and rides way to low as a 2 wheel drive. However it does get decent gas mileage. it has held up pretty well considering its age and use. It is somewhat fun to drive

Pros

Great gas mileage

Cons

Not the truck that you can pull everything with

65

1998 Ford Ranger — This truck might be small but it is able to do almost any thing that a normal sized truck can, without the worry of gas prices. Currently I can get 28 to 29 miles per gallon. The truck has a 5 speed manual transmission with a 2.5L 4 cylinder motor. Although the truck doesn't have a great towing capacity it has no problem pulling a boat or other small trailer. Overall i am very pleased with the purchase.

Pros

It does anything

Cons

Nothing Great Truck

Best Truck I Have Ever Owned — This is by far the best truck I have ever owned! 4cly 5spd, I used to take it off road and beat the crap out of it in college and high school. Brother hit some black ice and went head on into some K-rail on the freeway without his seat belt on and walked away (the truck still ran great). We had the frame straightened and replaced a fender, hood, grill, and bumper. Still drive the truck everyday and pull a 18ft car hauler and a utility trailer with it regularly. It is at about 280,000 miles and still running strong. Have had no mechanical problems with this truck!

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros

Reliable and tough

Cons

Fuel economy, appearance?

Good Truck — I had this truck for almost 5 years, it really was a great car. I hauled lots of really heavy things in it and it never let me down. Fuel milage was ok around 17mpg. Overall a well built machine.

Pros

Can't kill it.

Cons

Slow as molasses.

55

1998 Ford Ranger — The fury of the 1998 Ford 3.0L engine is not to be overestimated. At full throttle, it sounds as if you're going 100 m.p.h. - however that is far from the truth. On the plus side, I can't seem to kill it.
