1998 Chevrolet Corvette — Great car, great fun. Acceleration is amazing and no matter where you are in the powerband, you put down the pedal and you better hold on. The brakes are strong and the car handles like it is on rails with no body roll and very little tire squeal from the monster rubbers. The LS1 engine and drivetrain are bulletproof, while the body and interior leave a little to desire in the quality department. Ask anyone the first American sports car that comes to mind and everyone will answer the Corvette. The beauty of the car will get you in, but the performance will make you never want to get out.

Love It — I have owned a vette since 1969 and each and every one was very special to me. The Vette I own now is a 1998 Torch Red, black interior,this Vette was a Museum delivery car, I had the opportunity to watch as it was being built, and I was first to start it. This Vette has a lot of sentimental value and I probably will keep it for the rest of my life. It now has 8913 actual miles on it. Owner for 10 years, 0 months Miles Driven per Year:250 | ||

Great Car, Great Gas Mileage, A Real Winner! — This car is Fun and the gas mileage makes it a sure winner. I drove the car from Texas to North Carolina and averaged 31 MPG going 70 on the interstate. The C5 body style is timeless and is in actually a more refined body style than the newer C6, so until something better comes along I will continue to enjoy driving my 1998 C5. Prosthis is a really beautiful torch red Z06 coupe, very fast car, with a stainless steel Bola exhaust system with 2 large exhaust tips out the rear, not 4 like all the Corvette's, she also has the side vents for cooling off the rear brakes system, not all Corvettes have that, chrome Z06 wheels 17 inch on front & 18 inch on rear, on the super high way, if I dreive her normally or on cruise control, I get 30 mph per gallon of Sunoco 94 Octane gasolione bought in New Hampshire at $3.50 per gallom Consshe has no cd built into the am/fm radio

Great Other Then She Is Not A Convertable — with the LS1 engine the crank shaft pulley had to be changed at 50,000 miles, I think the dealership I took it to screwed her up just to have me come back for service & repairs or to trade her for something else? new belts every year, recharge the a/c ever year, until they changed the a/c compressor, it still leaks & needs a recharge once again, this time instead of wasting $300 per rechage I did it by myself & bought over the counter at Auto Zone in Derry, NH 3 cans of frion 134A Primary Use: Family transportation | ||

This Car Very Very Fun — This car was fun to drive and powerful enough to enjoy on long road trips. Had many nice features and accessories. It was solid as to fit and finish. I always worried about scraping the bottom going into driveways. Despite hoping to own it a long time, it was nearly crushed when a mini monster truck drove over its rear end. Corvettes Are The Greatest Cars Of All Time!! — this car is so fast. before you can think, your at highway speeds. the styling makes it the best looking type of corvette. c5's are the best looking corvettes. has plenty of room. sounds awesome. don't have to try to do a burnout, does it effortlessly. i've gotten up to 155mph easily. 0-60 4.5 - 4.7 seconds. pretty good.
