1997 Honda Civic Coupe Review
Prosvery revv happy, very reliable, comfortable, KILLER around a corner and a suprisingly decent sized trunk Consnot the gas mileage i was expecting, but partially due to lead foot.

Honda Civic, Not As Dull As You Would Tend Tp Think. — Performance: only 127 HP here, even with the Vtec Equipped D16Y8, but manages to keep it funn by putting all of those ponies north of 6 grand. still, dont expect an amazing 0-60. around a corner though, is a totally differnt story. i have yet to drive a car that is as easy as this one to drive hard and fast. in the VERY rare occurance that the front end actually does back out, it dose so in a very easy and controlled manner. i just wish mine was a 5 speed :P Build Quality: its a Honda. my window rattles every once in a blue moon. thats all. did i mention its 13 years old? Appearance: very conservative. it certanly isn't going to turn heads, but i almost like that. the interior is fairly well laid out and all be it very concervative, it some how manages to not be too boring. im also a very big fan of the very thin steering wheel. Cost of ownership: when i got i civic, i was expecting 30+MPG. not the story with the automatic EX model. expect closer to 23-25. not bad, but my dad's LT1 Firebird has it beat in that aspect. other wise though, its a honda. change the oil and replace the timing belt is about as intensive as maintnets gets. Fun Factor: supprisingly high. i really do enjoy my little honda on a good curvy road. also the fact that it redlines at 7grand, and actually runs up to it, is always a plus. over all: i like it better than i thought i would! yeah i get laughed at, but so what. i enjoy my little civic. i just wish it was a 5 speed model! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

1997 Honda Civic Hx — It an overall good car, but it's not my camaro! Like i guess, i love it because it's a 5-speed, it gets incredible gas mileage, and for a 4-banger, it actually is pretty quick. It has over 161K miles on it. I've put about 8K on it since February when i got it. The only thing i've had to replace was the EGR valve. The sensor was screwed up and it wasn't bothering the car at all, i just didn't like the check engine light on so i bought the little $200 part. |

Who Doesn't Love A Mid-nineties Civic? — We all love the Honda, she's a beast, and a ton of fun. Fast off the line and still kickin' past the 100 mph mark. A solid investment and loves to be thrown around. (Important traits for me) Next car will probably be a Honda, unless I am somehow a great deal more wealthy by then :-) |

Great Car To Get From A To B Cheap And You Get There Everytime. — Great car. Never really anything other than gass and oil and gets great MPGs. Not a race car but with a few bolt ons gets about a 10 sec 0-60 while still getting 40mpgs. not a ton of room but from work and back cheap haven't found anything better. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeee — its an awesome car to drive, i have a fair few plans for it to :) Performance - acceleration, braking, handling are all good but will upgrade abit more of the handling aspect and new brake upgrade soon Build Quality - has it needed repairs? nah never repaired anything major yet Appearance - both interior and exterior styling, are pretty decent i do my best to keep her clean and tidy Fun Factor - is this car fun to drive? hellll yes it is :) Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Love It — its great for cornering!!! needs some more top end power though! needs VTEC and a turbofor sure! great suspension setup as of now and love the tires and rims wish it had a h22a in it or go real crazy and swap to a v6 Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Awesome Car — Brakes good, good pricing, accelerates well, really good steering, fun to drive, good stereo, exterior is good, except for a few minor dents. Only 102xxx miles on it, so its got a long time to go, only big problem is when you turn, you hear a little squeaking/rattling noise. Its never had any problems so I guess you could say this car is really good. Primary Use: Commuting to work |
