Prosgreat looking car! better for driving and not racing! ConsT45 transmission blows, and intake gaskets went out left and right in this car for me!

Good Daily Driver And Thats It! — This was a good car but slow! with catback exhaust, intake, and superchips programmer it ran a 14.9 1/4 mile.... it came with a T-45 5speed transmission, that BLOWS. they are known for syncro problems, i blew 2 transmissions out of this car, the first one lost second gear and the second one, in a race i broke the shift fork for 3rd and 4th gear! if you buy this car UPGRADE THE TRANSMISSION TO A T56!!!

A Very Easy Car To Work On And Parts Are Fairly Cheap. Just Wish Mine Was In A Little Better Shape — My car is a 1997 and thats the first year of the 4.6 and don't think they had all the kinks worked out yet. Slowly I am fixing everything that was wrong with it when I bought it about a year and a half ago. Primary Use: Commuting to work

I Love My Car And I Would Never Trade It For Anything End Of Story. — My review?? Well I've barely ever had to take it to the garage for repairs and when I have its been the usual stuff. I hate when other people touch my car. Gas mileage isnt a factor. But as far as. being great on gas, shes alright. But im not complaining about that. Interior needs some love and thats my next step. Shes really funn to drive. Shes got an auto tranny but might change to stick. bottom line idc if you dont like my car shes my baby and im driving it and you never will so no need for this (; Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsFast and good on gas Conssucks to work on when something breaks

Good Car For Daily Driver — Good little car to get around in. Got a decent amount of power, and sounds awesome with its flow master exhaust. It's a five speed manual trans. with a 4.6 L engine. within a couple years, it will have a 383 in it though. The body has been fixed up since the picture was taken. The front bumper is fixed, but there are minor scratches on the body. eventually the body will be all repainted. Primary Use: Family transportation

Have Fun! — What I love the most about this car is that it is not so expensive, relly easy to upgrade, good torque and most of all it does'nt break! You almost can't find a better deal if you want to ride in the low 13s daily driver on the 1/4 strip without coming back home on a towing! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsGood first car. ConsNo sunroof.

I Miss It. — For a 97' the ac and heat worked reallllllly good and fast. I wish it had a sunroof though. The interior was gray... would have been better if it was black leather. The cars pretty loud (from being old) compared to a new car thats quiet. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsEnexpensive fun muscle car Cons3.8L v6 is fairly low powered compared to vehicles nowadays, and it weighs alot so power to wieght ratio not very good. Lots to upgade to make competitive with newer cars.

Mustang! — Its a great car to own, if you like and are interested in owning a muscle car without the extreme price, these are great cars to get. build quility pretty good. car runs forever with very few needs for repairing. Has a pretty good interior and exterior styling. Lots of options for possible upgrading. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsRagtop with a V8 ConsNot a lot of quality for a muscle car

Cheap Fun — The best way to sum up the old girl is... It was was it was. It was a fun car with the ragtop, tire smokin V8, leather seats and all that... and it was fast. Never found top end, but I know at 130mph it had more on the table. For being a GT model I was surprised at low quality parts Ford used. The plastic intake manifold surpised me when it came undone one day. But hey, it was a sweet car for cheap money. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
