1997 Ford Crown Victoria 4 Dr LX Sedan Review
ProsThis is a very roomy car. It has a lot of storage space. I have taken this car on many long trips, 12+ hrs from Bristol to ATL and back, and she has never let me down. I used this car to pick up weight equipment from all over the South East, so you can really pack this mule and she will hold the load. It holds six people with comfort and ease. ConsThis car does not handle the ice well. I was doing about 35 over a bridge and the tail started to come around my right side while I had the front wheels pointing straight.

Great Family Car For Long Trips. — This car seems to just keep on going; like it will run for ever if you just take care of it. That is what I want most in a car, and that is what I like most about this car. It is also very comfortable and roomy on the inside. This car rides very smoothly.

ProsThe fold-in spotlight ConsGas mileage
35
Bluesmobile — This car is a tank. Acceleration isn't bad, handling could be better but who knows how many miles the shocks have on 'em (the odometer reads 264,600). It used to be a Virginia State Police car, and still has the fold-in spotlight. It's since been painted black with a Maaco-quality paint job. It was probably a taxi at one point, too. I mainly got it for commuting to work and for something to put a ham radio in, because I wouldn't want to drill holes in my other cars for an antenna... This one, who cares! Gas mileage isn't the greatest but it's about the same as my '88 Mustang GT despite being a much larger car. Other drivers seem to be scared of it. I'm not sure why..is it the crappy body work, the fold-in spot light, or the antenna? Do they think I'm a cop or have no insurance? Who cares, they stay the hell away from me! Interior room is great, I'm 6'3" and I can sit up straight. Everything works on the car..cruise control and AC. When I got it, it looked like someone had tried to use a hammer to remove the radio, and it needed a good cleaning. It was an impound--the guy who had it before didn't want it back--so that probably accounts for the condition it was in. It also had some other minor problems, but nothing major. I got a wiring diagram for it on Ebay for $10, well worth it. For a beater, you can't beat an ex cop-car! No pun intended! Primary Use: Commuting to work

Perfect — Love the performance. I love the build of the car and the look. It is a really good luxurious car and I would recommend anyone buying a Crown Vic. They have a nice V8 engine in them to. So buy one lol. Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsEngine, New Sound System, and full Leather Interior! ConsFORD
35
97' Ford Crown Victoria — My Crown Vic has an excellent engine in it, with the large V8. Plenty of power!Full leather interior, New Sound System (Dual 12's and a 10 powered by 2000 watts of power!!!), and lots of other stuff that I dont want to type out. The only thing is, its a Ford. I am not a Ford fan at all but thats what i drive because i dont have the money for anything else so I live.

Cop Car? — I loved this car and I wish I wouldn't have sold it. This was a great car for the very cheap 2000 dollars I payed for it. I owned it for a year and did general maintaince items on it such as tires a set of brakes all the way around. Everything in this car worked and having been a prison car it was very well taken care of. This is the only car that I have ever owned that I cried when I watched drive out of my drive way knowing it wasn't coming back. This car would do 135 without tring real hard and thats the fastest i ever wanted to talk it. This is a great car, and if you think you can deal with how big it is in a parking lot and the gas mileage which isn't that bad for a car of its size, then buy one.

The Interceptor — like the caprice it was a solid fast and cheap to obtain car could be pricey to maintain due to its service with the police but a big fast solid american car better looking then the caprice but slower but not by much. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cheap, Dependable, And Fast For Teen — this aint fast enough but a good strong motor.its got an nice 4.6 l, push'n 210hp dont no the torque but im sure its good, steering idk its all right, but i love the U-turn abillity. brakes too good. build quality it too good for the price you pay. apperance-well no one wants to race you cause they think ur a cop but if it sits low its ok. o man i waz getting average of 25mpg highway, not bad for a 4.6 v8. These is a fun car for the price you pay for. Primary Use: Commuting to work
