ProsGood clean looks, handling couldn't be beat. ConsOverall component quality was just crappy.

Hardly Anything Stayed Functional — This car was the first real car I drove consistently and it turned into a bit of a money pit. Aside from cracking the block (my fault), nothing absolutely major went wrong with this car - however, a thousand minor things kept happening. The brakes never lasted, the serpentine belt kept slipping or breaking, the driver side window motor broke twice... it just needed so much bandaid repair that I was sick of it by the time I sold it. |

Prosnothing really Consno power, bad handling, always breaking apart

Buyer Beware, There Are Tons Of Better Used Cars Out There Than This One! — I was stuck with this as my first car, and I hated it. It ran horrible, only had about 105hp, and always had problems every month. If the transmission would have stayed together, and the air conditioner didn't go out every 3 weeks during the summer, it may not have been so bad. But my opinion still stands that ford stands for FIX OR REPAIR DAILY and I will never own another one. sorry Primary Use: Family transportation |

ProsGood space and zippy engine. ConsIt looks too plain and boring.

You Can't Always Get What You Want — Ugh, the hand-me-down. But hey, I'm not gonna hate. I mean, it was given to me so hey. The performance was pretty zippy. Unbeknownst to me, it had 170hp brand new and you know what? With the 5 speed transmission, this car could book it. Unexpectedly fast for what looks like an old lady's car. Otherwise the braking was pretty good and the handling was okay. It did break down a little. But that came in the later years. Gas was okay. Wasn't the best but if driven carefully, was actually very good. And it was fun to drive. Especially when your friend in his Civic thinks he's hot stuff till he's blown away by a Ford that your mother use to drive to work everyday. |

Prospretty good gas mileage Consjust cause it smells.

Runs Good, Needs Some Work. — It just has a 4-banger 2.0L 65,000 miles on it. It runs alright but, we got a motor swap, same motor & tranny. the motor died at 50,000 miles. Its not to fun to drive. Runs good tho. The interior smells like smoke and the rear pass. window leaks. pretty good gas mileage and needs new rear shocks & struts Primary Use: Family transportation |

ProsFantastic handling. ConsMany mechanical issues

An Awesome Car. — Despite being a lowly GL ATX I4, this car was fun to drive and very comfortable. The build quality was somewhat mediocre, and reliability was overall good, but the CD4E ATX seems prone to catastrophic failure, and there are some well-known issues with the car. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Good Car — The handling is rubbish , performance and braking not so good, The acceleration Fairly good. My car need a lot of repairing, It has Been made well by the company, But the Previous owner was careless so i am trying to repair it as much as possible, I hope to Put a V6 engine under the hod, So it can be almost 200 HP. Prosperformance Constransmission, cng components, styiling, build quality.

Contour Bifuel — the car overheats and i have no check engine light on. performance is great for an old car when its not giving me a wide range of problems. My model came with the government issued CNG components which are not functional at the moment. it would be great to get it fixed but unfortunately the cost of fixing the CNG would cost about 3 times the worth of car itself :( Primary Use: Family transportation |

The Broke Down Blue Tour — Performed Well Cornered Like It Was On Rails Quick Steering Broke Down Often I never could keep this car running. I owned it for 3 years and only drove it for 1. It spent several months in the shop after it broke down the day after I brought it home from the dealer. |
