Useful But Crude. — The truck is a workhorse. I've got the XL so its not well optioned but does what its supposed to do. It is a Powerstroke so its got plenty of power and does reasonably on fuel. With the ground clearance it has, it goes great in the snow. The bad? The gearshift is slow and clunky (it IS a truck), turbo is slow to spool, turning radius is about a quarter mile or so, and it rides like crap. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Would Love To Have It In 4wd Version — Had the 351 with 4.10 gears and limited slip, that made this truck 100 times better. Being a HD 250 it hauled amazingly. With the camper on, it barely sagged a couple of inches, whereas any half ton we've used nearly bottoms out. Somewhat cheap build quality, but solid truck. Hated the regular cab and 2wd, and being a work truck, there wasnt one single option. | ||

Great Truck — I only paid $700 for this truck. With $250 in repairs, it has run like a champ. It's perfect for towing my 32' camp trailer. Back seats are small and typical for an extended cab truck. Ride is rough since it's a 1 ton, but I don't mind that. I hauled some heavy loads and the truck has performed perfectly. | ||

Lets Get To Work — A good lookin truck that is easy and fun to drive. Wheel base is great for parking and maneuvering. Weight is well dispersed making this vehicle easy to handle on the road for cornering and adverse conditions. Brakes on a dime. Stereo system is surround sound. | ||
