Great Little Car — This was a great little car to have. Had no blind spots, fast, reliable, had a good amount of room for being a small car. Manual with no power controls. Was fun to fix up and husband loved it when we changed mufflers on it so it was louder. lol Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Don't Bother. — I only owned one of these for nearly 2 years. During that time I must have paid to get something fixed every month. It was costing me an arm and a leg. Brakes didn't work very well. They were too weak. Engine needed throwing away and having something more better built putting inside. It was burning oil before 60k miles. Had engine rebuilt and yet car was still unreliable. Only got rid of it because I crashed it (cos of brakes) and got written off. The only thing I liked about the car was its sporty looks and the performance (when the engine was working fine). |

No. Dont Even Think About It — I had one and nothing but problems with it. maybe i just got a lemon but either way it was just not fun. the interior is nice and the outside is decent other then perfomance wise to sum it up. NO BALLS, this thing had nothing in lines of performance. could be the automatic transmission that didn't help. parts are a pain. expensive, the mas airflow costed 200$ and only lasted 2 weeks. GARBAGE! |

Ford Escort - A Working Class Hero!!!! — LEt's be honest about this for a minute!!! Technically my car is RUBBISH!!!! 0-60 in about 3 weeks for a start gives you an idea of what Im talking about. However it's a classic case of a car having it's own personality and I LOVE IT!!! When it's in a good mood then I can get it up to good sppeds. My PB is 127 MPH!!! (God Bless the A5 and A14) but it's not a "great car" in the classic sense of the word. However, what do you want for 500 quid?? Actually, when you put into context of how much it cost my car is actually (in performence Vs Price terms) as good as a FOrd GT.!!!! No?? Ok then. I'll just carry and burning fuel and oil!!!!then. Actually, that's one good thing. It's a big 21 FIngers up to Bill Oddie and the Tree Hugging brigade!!! Ha HA Ha. That's exactly why I want an old 1969 Ford Mustang!!! I can get away with a real emission burner and TAX FREE as well!!! WOO HOO. Just gotta find 8 grand for the privilage!!!! |

Id Buy Anouther 1. I Really Like The New 1's. — Lots of HP 88 in total. Has tonnes of room Great for packin all the kids big an small. We have owned for two years. Bought it for $400 have spent maybe $220 in parts so far. It needs a new Rad and Battery Thats about it. Maybe some new tires and rims would be nice and a BIG TURBO and NITRO haha ta kick it up a notch. So far so great. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

1996 Ford Escort 1.8 Ghiax 5 Door Hatchback — Performance: Quick enough, brakes are Ok, Front tires run out of grip very quickly when cornering and pulling away enthusiasticly. Perfect First Car — Too heavy to be any good at overtaking but has enough power to do well on the motorway, understeers a lot and tries to kill you in the rain. So far the only thing wrong with the engine is a leaky gasket. Starting to rust very badly on the wheel arches. Fairly good looking, but impossible to tastefully modify, even alloys look over the top. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Good Starter Car — good performance but i dont like the look of the back, i like the stick shift. Goes fast for a 4 cylinder and handles well, sometimes loses traction because its so light. I like the interior and it is very comfortable. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

If I Had To Buy One Again I Would Put A Honda Motor In Lol. — This was a very Fragile car... lol. It was the car which broke down the most. Was not very light on petrol. I had to replace the clutch on it and the radiator. It was a very good looking car as it was the 1.8i Motorsport but not fast at all. Primary Use: Commuting to work |
