1994 Toyota Camry Review
ProsThe camry was and is a great car in terms of reliablity, safety, and comfort ConsNone really, except if you want to buy a car from 1994, make sure it won't break down as soon as you start driving it

Overall A Very Good Car — Generally the car runs great. It has an undiagnosed problem where it doesnt start sometimes and it'll occasionally shut off when I'm stopped, so I'm hoping I can figure out whats wrong with it before it starts doing something else (It has over 191,000 miles) Primary Use: Commuting to work

Prosit's a beast. Consweak original paint

94 Camry — I got it in 06 with over 165,000 miles so of course it needed some repair work. Excellent first car, outstanding gas mileage, had a large amount of peeling paint on the hood, but I really didn't give a rat's arse. Stereo, window motors, sunroof all perfectly functional and A/C worked like a beast. Sold it for $500 more than I paid for it about a year and a half later.

Most Reliable Car I've Ever Owned — Our 1994 Camry now has 188,000 trouble free miles on it, always performs flawlessly, while delivering good looks, comfort, and resonable economy. This is the fully optioned out model including leather, power everything, sunroof, 6disc CD in the trunk, tinted windows, etc., etc. There is nothing that does not operate as designed on this car. It has received excellent maintenance to its credit, synthetic oil has been used for most of the cars life, the only thing to need replacing to date other than normal wear items has been the radiator. Muffler still in great shape from 1994, only needing the tailpipe gasket replaced. Owner for 9 years, 5 months Miles Driven per Year:18,000

ProsSmooth, has enough power for the average joe, very reliable ConsTo get the most out of this car(last for a while and to keep the engine strong) I have used 91 octane gas so fuel has been pretty costly and it gets about 23 mpg...leather interior got trashed in front seats for this one...engine is installed side ways and is made differently so when it's time for big repairs labor is costly.

A Great Car — This car was owned by my dad then passed down to me... My dad took care of this car very well with regular normal upkeep. I'm now at 270,000 miles with this guy and its finally demanding big repairs. That's amazing a car even lasted this long with just regular up keep and some love. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsReliable... No major problem! Only required regular maintenance. Conslump and boring steering...

Its A Good Reliable Car But Don't Expect It To Be A Fun Car. — Performance wise... the acceleration is definitely better the the 4 cyl. version. Braking is good. But the steering is definitely numb. The exterior styling is just boring just a regular sedan. Interior styling nothing to be excited about it. This car can't say is fun to drive. It's like a piece of reliable electrical appliance, get to u from point to point. Primary Use: Family transportation

Prosmanual, lots of room and very comfortable Consslow and heavy

Camerons Toy Camry — acceleration is poor and braking is shaky at speed, corning its good, suspension isn't stiff enough, too much body roll. Build Quality is pretty good, had a rebuild since ive owned it, still not perfect. lots of rattles but only when the sub is going. Body style is good, lots of scratches and dents in the body, the bonnet is bent mileage is good, about 800 to a tank, other than the rebuild i have not needed to spend money on it its not to bad, there certainly are more fun cars

ProsIts fun and reliable ConsIts no toyota supra and you might die if you gas pedal sticks.

If I Went Back In Time I'd Buy It Again. — This is a very reliable car and it makes a great first car. Good acceleration and handling, and the brakes work great, haven't crashed cause of toyotas gas problems yet. Its got a few kinks like knobs falling off and a broken door handle but thats mainly from the previous owner. It looks and drives great for a 94, only 80,000 miles on it. It gets really good mile to the gallon. I haven't done the math but I fill it up every 2 weeks so I can't complain. Its not standard or as fast as I want it to be, but I can still pull some fast and the furious moves through traffic with it so its fun. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsGreat gas mileage. ConsLeaks oil, weak engine seals.

Its A Great Get Around Car, But All Toyotas Have Oil Leaks — Its a great car overall, i just had an SUV so I dont really like the ride height and size, but it does what it needs to. This car was NOT built for racing so it is pretty sluggish, but the fuel economy makes up for all of that. Primary Use: Commuting to work
