Wish I Had Always Owned This Car (i Started Driving In 1965). — Of all of the cars I have owned, the performance, looks and fun factor are all contained in the 1994 Mercedes SL500. It is a solid car with no squeaks or rattles. It averages about 20 mpg, which is it's only down side (especially since it requires Chevron's top gas). Maintenance is limited to oil changes, which are pricey, but with synthetic oil, lasts for 7,000 miles. With a removable hard top, this car rocks! It is also extremely safe because of its speed (easy to get out of tight jams) and handling. Primary Use: Commuting to work

It's My Toy! - Girls Need Toys Just Like Boys Need Toys. — The car is absolutely wonderful. It's beautiful, runs like the wind and oozes with grace and elegance. Requiring premium gas and a top mechanic for everything, it's not cheap to maintain, but for sheer delight and fun -it's the best ever. Good Looking Classic Mercedes — Comfortable car to drive. Classic looks and enough power to keep you out of trouble. Great car for top down driving (except winter). Removeable hardtop for winter season. (But does take 2 to put on-take off.) Does require premium gas & mileage is not the best. Primary Use: Family transportation | ||

It Wont Bother You If The Stock Market's Up Or Down — you dont mind sitting at red lights in this car. doesnt make the loud music of its V8/V12 brothers but so what...it's the quiet samurai of the trio. more the personality of a rolls or bentley. I'm buying an old F150 to drive when it's raining so the SL stays dry. | ||

A Beautiful And Powerful Road Machine — The 1992 Mercedes500SL Convertable Roadster is an awesome car to own. If you want heads to turn while you are passing by or at a stoplight,This is the car to own . Repairs can be pricy but if you can afford one ,it is a good investment. A Classic Mercedes - What Can Be Or Go Wrong — Fantastic car, never ever feeling its age (>20 years!). A rather performing engine, this would probably be the last built by engineers and perfectionists rather than accountants. Absolutely gorgeous, but never pretentious. You won't feel out of place no matter where you take it. |
