Probably The Best Car To Ever Roll Off An Assembly Line In Detroit — I liked everything about this car from the transmission that clunked to the loose steering. Both were issues that were corrected with a customized driving style. The engine was the bullet-proof 4.0L inline 6 that never burned a drop of oil. The car held up well for the almost 16 years we had it. It did have rust on the hood, the rear tailgate, and under the doors, but it was always an outdoor Michigan vehicle. I would have to say the only major problem the Jeep ever had was the 4x4 stopped working at the end of 2008. The transfer case uses a chain, and the chain became loose and clanged against the housing. To solve this problem I removed the front drive shaft and the car was only rear wheel drive, but perfectly functional. Other than that the Jeep never left my mom, my dad, my family, or myself stranded and provided years of reliable service. Primary Use: Family transportation

Loved This Jeep — Loved this vehicle. Only had it whilst lived in Vermont, USA. Downside - it was the wrong colour WHITE - but you learn! Plenty of room for everything, including, dog, kids and the luggage. V comfortable drive - even long distance and because at the time fuel was cheap it was actually reasonably cheap to run. I loved driving it and even though it was a big vehicle it was fun to drive. Primary Use: Family transportation

1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited — Great vehicle. Get's decent gas mileage, about 17 around here, and about 21-22 on the highway if you play your cards rights. Otherwide you will get 20 mpg. 4WD all the time. Gray leather interior with 5 seats, extremely comfortable. Kind of small if you are planning on going on a long trip. Overall I give it a 4/5.

Great Suv, Very Dependable Vehicle — We have a 1993 jeep grand cherokee with over 400,00 miles on it. We have very little in maintenance costs. It is very good in rain and snow. We no longer own this vehicle, but we know it has been a very dependable vehicle for someone else. The engine and transmission were never worked on or replaced. ProsThe Engine is in great shape aside from the leak. The back seats are in great shape. there is a lot of cargo space. There is an mp3 compatible CD player and new speakers. The radiator and water pump are brand new along with all four rotors. ConsIt currently gets about 10 -15 miles per gallon. It has an oil leak in the engine that i haven't diagnosed. It wont pass smog because the catalytic converter needs replacement. The front seats are torn quite a bit.

Ol' Faithful — This has always been a very fun car for me to drive. Its great for road trips, It has a lot of power and room. It is very comfortable and is nice looking as well. With some work, this jeep can could be an awesome crawler and last forever. It runs strong for having 250,000 miles and Iv'e put relatively little work into it. It needs a catalytic converter and the oil leak needs to be fixed. If I had the knowledge and the money, I would fix it up myself, but I'm looking for something with a little less maintenance. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

One Of Most Reliable Vehicles You Can Ever Buy — hands down one of the most reliable vehicles i've had, has 192 thousand miles and have never had to do any major work to it. slowly going out on me but it has been beat. the only bad thing about these is that they want to tip over easily. has enough power for what i need, definitely not a vehicle meant for heavy loads but have hauled 2 ton with it without an issue. body does tend to rust quickly on these, does have cosmetic flaws but has never had a problem with running. very advanced vehicle for its time, has one of the most reliable engines ever made under the hood, the straight six. decent offroading vehicle. with a lift and decent tires it will go almost anywhere you want it to Primary Use: Commuting to work

Loved It! Would Buy It Again! — I had a purple 3.5L V8 and I absolutely LOVED it. It had great power, good looks, and the only problem I had with it the three years I owned it was a belt snapped and it wrecked a pulley but it was only 60$ to fix. My jeep was also fully loaded so it had power windows, locks, seats, and mirrors. Great stock speakers. The only bad thing about this beautiful beast was the gas mileage. But I would definitely recommend this car to anyone. I really miss it. I gave it up for a car easier on mpg's and I hate it.

A Solid Car, Good For Long Use — it gets me to where i need to go, pretty reliable. Gas mileage is so-so but pretty reliable nonetheless...i would definitely use it regularly. It brakes very well, great for driving if safety is a priority, and it stands up to pretty much all weather well. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Prosroomy and comfortable for long drives Consleather seats are searing hot in the summer, gas mileage is poor

Jeep Grand Cherokee — This vehicle is insanely expensive to replace parts on compared to the exact same models that aren't "limited" versions. It is extremely comfortable and I like the way it drives but the gas mileage isn't great, parts and labor are expensive and the electrical system is shot. It'll cost three times more than its worth to get it back in decent shape I'm sure. |
