Awesome — The car is an amazing combination of looks, luxury, power, and handling. Although parts are very expensive and it isn't the easiest car to work on it is still well worth it. Even though it is an older car it looks newer and always looks very appealing

Pros

Reasponable price on performance you'll get

Cons

Interior, not too cool compared to Audi at the same year

E36 325is Coupe — Good handling, can be moded to the Max performance with M3 parts, even more fun when Boosted with HX35 Turbo Charger. Overall quality is nice 'coz it's import car, unlike those Sedans. The only thing I don't like is the interior, not too attractive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

I Just Love My Beemer! — Cost of Ownership - Gas can be pretty, especially when you put pedal to the metal. But on the upside the services are quite cheap. Fun Factor - It's really fun to drive as you can really go for it in corners. Performance - Miss my Opel's darty pull aways but the BMW will easily catch it! Breaking is awesome and handles easily as well. Build Quality - A very sturdy car, except for the seatbelt clip that rattles sometimes, no other real problems. I would really recommend this car to anyone! It is not an expensive car and it's really easy to drive, real value for money!!!

Light, Fun, Quick. Huge Fun To Drive Factor. — 2.5L I6 Engine. Seriously, I think inline-6 motors are the most beautiful song in the world. This one was a little low on power, though. Really fun to drive, and light as a feather. Like one of BMW's ads say, "Fun is not around the corner. Fun is the corner." I think this is the embodiment of that ad. However, it was pretty slow in a straight line. Amazing to thrown around and meticulously maintained, however.

My Dream Car — Performance - nice fast and good handling. Nice brakes. Build Quality - great quality. Appearance - Both interior and exterior is great. Best there is on the market. Cost of Ownership - a lot of gas goes there, but it's worthed. Not expensive maintenance. Fun Factor- Simply the best!

Style-in — Nice spring summer car, that will last forever. I bought this car from a 85 year old gentleman that when I saw it purchased it before I took it for a ride. It came from Florida only used in good weather. The m3 wheels realy give the car some POP.It has a burn from the sun in the back seat, that I have covered. Deep sounding exhaust

A Joy To Own. — I loved this car in Aussie, I simply couldn't take a trip in it without smiling. If there was a "character" score in the ratings it would be off the charts. Beneath it's faded paint, ratty interior, and less than adequate power, was one of the most amusing, hilariously competent sedan chassis I have ever driven. Add a 12" sub to the mix and it became the ultimate wannabe thugmobile as well, which only added to my appreciation of this little bimmer!

Perfect First Car — This car may be old but it the four cylinder engine made the car amazing at with fuel costs. The car is not very fast but never left me stranded even when it had well over 200,000 miles on it.

Wish You Had A Better Car? — I've had several cars now, but after my first, a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS, I wanted to go around corners, AND go quick in a straight line. The BMW 3 answered my question with ease. Mine is FAR from new, and FAR from stock. Right now, 240,000 on the clock, running an M3 engine, Transmission, and Differential, along with custom suspension from Koni / TC Kline. Custom sways, custom links, poly bushings for the motor, trans, diff, front LCABs, RTABs, Delrin Diff bushings, solid mounts here and there.... On an E36, there is a multitude of parts that will fit the car and the driver perfectly, no matter your needs or driving style- and it's getting cheaper. I've had my baby for 10 years or so, and don't think shes gonna die soon... Interior is done the way I need it... Corbeau Seats in front, and Nappa leather ///M seats in the back, custom black headliner, A, B, and C pillars. Deck moved to the glove box, Cut out the glove box door, put in plexi, so the remote works.... Cut the cheap plastic sunglass holder tray so i could fit a 7" touchscreen for the TV, PS2, and Mini PC, glovebox holds the fullsize keyboard. Phone (HTC EVO 4G) connect to everything... Can record and download a song on the road, and take video of doing "Bimmer stuff" at the same time.... All in all, if I need another car, I might just go hunt out another low mileage one of these. I love the V8 sound of my Camaro, but the E36 sounds awesome with the custom OBD2 headers and CAT piping, and rear 3" Magnaflow system, so why waste money on gas? It's definitely the car for me- I <3 my E36!!! Need help or parts? I've got both, if you're in the SF Bay Area...
