Very Good — 1992 Ford F150 Flareside. Based on the 1992 F150 truck with the short box, Ford added the fiberglass rear fenders to the box to create a fendered box look. Only available for a short time, it made for a very distinct look. 5.0L V8 engine with 185 hp and 210lb-ft(ish) tourqe ment that it wasnt the fastest truck but with the torque to pull the large loads it was very capable. A solid axle with leaf spring rearend handles the weight and is trouble free. Independent front suspension in the form of twin I-beams is old fashioned, but makes for a comfortable ride that can handle the weight and abuse of hauling and rough roads. Automatic transmission shifts nicely and controls power output smoothly. Larger sized tires help the ride by smoothing out bumps aswell. 15 iinch aluminum wheels add to the look. Chrome capped mirrors, visor, bug deflector and side steps add to the look as well. Overall is a solid, good driving, good looking truck.

Great Truck For Every Day Use — I like the body style and handling, I wish it had a 5.8 liter instead of a 5.0 because it would have a little more power but it runs really good and sounds good with the stainless steal exhaust. It does have some rattles and squeaks but its a 92' so what do you expect. Overall I really like the truck.

Great for hauling the boat. Fun truck to drive. Very dependable. Classic look.

Cons

Typical rust for age of truck. Has needed a lot of front end work around 200k miles.

Classy, Dependable Truck — Great first truck experience. Handling has gotten bad with age and needs some upgrades to keep the transmission fresh with the extra strain of hauling a boat. The gas mileage is terrible which doesn't help with current gas prices, but other than that I have loved this truck.

I Love My Truck — This truck has plenty of power stock add a few after market apps and you'll need new tires on a regular basis. I have over 226,000 miles and still going strong. I use about a 1/2 a quart of oil every 2000 miles so valves are weak not weak enough to need a rebuild. I continue to work on and make plans for this truck. I have had it for 10 yrs and still enjoy it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Its Pretty Ok. Not Too Great For A Carseat, But We Are Making It Work — other than a few minor dents, this truck is a good looking truck. Its got high miles, but its still running great. Its in need of a complete tune up but other than that, it dont cost that much to maintain.

Plenty Of Seating Room And Payload — The Ford truck does good. It handles awesome on road and off road on the trails. It tows so far everything i have hooked up to it. The Truck has been all over PA, MD, NY, WV, VA, NJ, and Delaware. It has over 230,000miles (mostly Highway) on it and is still going strong. The only major problem i had was the E4OD tranny had to be replaced and i herd some of the E4OD tranny's were junk. Overall a Good truck otherwise
