Decent — the cars body was in decent shape not the greatest looking but the motor was a beast. paid 1000 for the car invested about another 5k. was a blast to drive. was happy with the car for the most part

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

91 Acura Integra Gs — Acceleration and handling were the best i've ever had! Had headers, intake and exaust. Nice sound and not too loud. Beautiful inside and out. Loved the dark interior and power sunroof (power everything-even antenna). Drove like a dream. I still miss her so. (Stolen from outside my house in North Burnaby)

Pros

Best overall car,EVER. I am 84 and have had cars ranging from my other, current car, a VW Phaeton(Bentley), Jag Mk 5, 7, XKE, Rolls, Caddys, AH Sprites; you name it and this one tops 'em all. I have had this since new ('91) and have only had routine items (tires, brakes, battery). If the size suits you, buy it. You can't go wrong.

Cons

Body st in rear wheel well due to poor sunroof drain

Pros

amazing handling in a tight little package

Cons

@200,000 miles, you will most likely need a few thousand dollars for an overhaul/rebuild.

Definite Love-hate Relationship — ok, i don't hold my judgement against the makers of my car, jsut the previous owners and my own dumbass for buying it. I just bought this car @ 2 months ago. after driving for a week, and only 350 miles, the car's motor is toasted. after doing research, i've found that the timing belt, tensioners, and various other bits and pieces are very likely to lead to major repairs, and this is quite common with these cars from the early 90's... my advice, if you buy one of these, have an electrical and mechanical diagnostic run on it, or have a spare motor ready to install. for the 350 miles the car ran, i absolutely loved the way it drove. after driving nothing but kw w900's and fl classics for the past 2 years, this car was like my own little street legal go cart! it would accelerate adequately(as good as i expected for a stock motor), and cornered the mountains of colorado like no other.

Pros

Great on gas, and hauls butt. Really fun to drive.

Cons

Fuse panel sucks, frameless door windows, guillotine automatic shoulder belts.

It's Ok For An Entry Level Sports Car, But Not Great. Better Off Getting The 2002 Type-r. — This car is fantastic on gas, and hauls butt too. I regularly blow the doors off higher priced sports cars. BUT, there are a few problems with this year. 1 is the "guillotine" like automatic shoulder belts. Who had the bright idea for that? Another is the lack of a center arm rest. And no cup holders? What moron forgot that? Anyways, the other problem is the fuse panel, there's an integrated circuit box located right behind the fuse panel - you have to pull out the fuse panel to get at it - this circuit was built using sub-standard capacitors that are under-voltage, when they over heat, they leach out their electrolyte, which crosses other circuits and cause all kinds of electrical problems. The ONLY fix is to replace ALL OF THE CAPACITORS to 35+ volt caps. If you buy a replacement fuse panel, guess what(?), it still uses the same old crappy capacitors. The last complaint is that the door windows are frameless, which means you can't add those wind deflectors to your windows. Other than that, it's a really fun car to drive.

Pros

Its a drivers car!

Cons

none

Its Just A Raw, Fun Car To Drive! — Performance of the car is pretty standard for a early 90's car but its still a very fun car to drive. The handling can be greatly improved with just some minor suspension modifications same with the brakes but its nice that they come with 4 wheel disc brakes. The build quality of the cars are great as long as you take care of it. As with all honda/acura's they tend to rust in the wheel wells if you don't have rust protector or just keep it clean. The appearance is really in the eye of the beholder but to me they are a nice looking car from all angles and i was glad to have this as my first car. Gas mileage on the car was really good i would get 500-600 kms to a tank which is a 45 liter tank.

Pros

It's great on gas, fast & fun to drive. Aftermarket performance parts galore for this car.

Cons

parts are hard to find, the alternator is buried UNDERNEATH the intake manifold so you'll have to remove the left drive axle to change the alternator (What moron designed it THS way?), Repair requires a Specialist shop. Braking is poor, the pedal is always spongy. The electrical system is a stinkin joke, sometimes works right - sometimes not. The body rusts too easily, the stock paint sucks.

It's Ok For A Daily Driver, Better Off Rebuilding It As A Racer — Due to it's age, parts are hard to find. The alternator is buried UNDERNEATH the intake manifold so you'll have to remove the left drive axle to change the alternator (What moron designed it THS way?), Repair requires a Specialist shop. Braking is poor, the pedal is always spongy. The electrical system is a stinkin joke, sometimes works right - sometimes not. The body rusts too easily, the stock paint sucks. Word to the Wise: STAY AWAY FROM these 90's Hondas/Acuras. Too much of a hassle always fixing them.

Gas Saver

Cons

Not Just A Family Car — Drives like a real import. This car has so many upgrading options from engine swaps to body kits. If you are looking for a good reliable car that saves on gas, you are gonna want to buy this car. I have a white one, and even though its a family car, it can be one of the faster vehicles on the road.

Not Good For Everyday Use Great For Building Race Cars Out Of Them — this is my 91 integra. this has been one of my projects for goin on two years now it started off as an automatic b18a1 then got a b16a3 and swapped to 5 speed then back to a b18a1 and now is waitin on getting the b20 vtec turbo that im building for it. it is slammed on some cheap coilovers and 9 spoke enkei 15 inch wheels full exhaust front lip rs steering wheel b&m double bend shifer amber corner lights.
