Dont Buy One Unless Ur Willing To Make It Ur Pride And Joy. — Performance-Acceleration is awesome especially when u can get it to only weight 2000 pounds, handling is outrageous in this, takes 90 degree corners at 60 like nothing. Build Quality- Cant believe the amount of abuse this car can take. Toyota built this car to last for ever... Fun Factor- Is this car fun to drive? Hell yes its fun to drive, as long as you know how to drive it and what the handling characteristics are on the car...

Cons

Toyota = Quality — We drove this car through a few 10 thousand kilometers. Old car, but still young, if u keep it in a good mood! That goes for the performance to! =) It isn't heavy, wheels are on the edges of the side, great maneuvre capabilities (if your suspension's alright...), gearbox is great!

Cheap And Honest — i can't believe how straight this car is for it age, did a bit of minor tweaking and got it running sweet but can do with a oil change and plugs. Looking forward to making this car handle a bit better

Hachi Roku For Life! — Every drifters dream car. Its light and the predacessor engine for Toyota"s VVT-i system. You ca make it fly in a straight line, and when you are ready , get it to drift around s curves. only problem is its almost 30 years old...

Pros

Cheap to own, pretty reliable. Fun to drift.

Cons

Some parts are hard to find, and it's slow as hell stock.

1986 Toyota Corolla (ae86) Sr5 — Since it's an SR5, this car is much more economical than it is a performer. In a word, performance for anything other than drifting is absymal. Being a Toyota, build quality is excellent. Appearance isn't the greatest stock- it has a pretty high ride height, and could really use a lip on the trunk lid. Cost of ownership is fantastic: I bought it for $400, and am only $300 more into it for maintenance a year later. If it's raining, there is no other car I'd rather drive. A wet offramp makes me feel like Tsuchiya every time.

Cons

Much Better Than An S13 — Love this car. Has the T-VIS intake, has decent power and torque, but not until around 4k rpms. Love the 7500 rpm redline. Had a few issues but its smoothing out. Gas mileage is awesome. Great to drive, loves track time and getting rowdy on the streets.

Great Car That I Hope To Keep Forever — Really good through corners but not any where near fast in a straight line... Would have been really great with a 2 liter engine and a better gearbox. Cheap to run Simple and easy to maintain I build it from the ground up...

Pros

Right before registration the car, there was HEAVY PIPE LINE LEAKING!

Cons

Just Transportation, Dont Expect Too Much About It. — Performance - Drivable. Quality - Heavy leaking(?!) with pipe line between engine and radiator. Appearance - Impressive! Cost of Ownership Mileage - 261500 km (165000 miles) Maintenance - Nothing on this. Fun Factor - Manual Transmission. That was only thing you can enjoy with this car

Cheap and fun.

Cons

It's small and if you crash you WILL die....

Get One...they Are Awesome :) — Performance isn't bad seeing as it's a 1.6, but after driving the Commodore its obviously just a little weak... but for what it is, it's great performance-wise. :) Build quality is typical Toyota... ie, excellent. I'm planning on beefing up the looks a bit, lime green paint, offset GT stripe, alloys, lowered etc, so it's got potential for sure. It does around 8-litres/100km around town and you can pritty much do any maintenence yourself so it's pritty much one of the cheapest cars out there. Insurance is mad aswell :P
