Just Transportation, Dont Expect Too Much About It. — Performance - Drivable. Quality - Heavy leaking(?!) with pipe line between engine and radiator. Appearance - Impressive! Cost of Ownership Mileage - 261500 km (165000 miles) Maintenance - Nothing on this. Fun Factor - Manual Transmission. That was only thing you can enjoy with this car Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Cheap And Honest — i can't believe how straight this car is for it age, did a bit of minor tweaking and got it running sweet but can do with a oil change and plugs. Looking forward to making this car handle a bit better Primary Use: Commuting to work |

1986 Toyota Corolla SR5 Coupe Review
ProsCheap to own, pretty reliable. Fun to drift. ConsSome parts are hard to find, and it's slow as hell stock.

1986 Toyota Corolla (ae86) Sr5 — Since it's an SR5, this car is much more economical than it is a performer. In a word, performance for anything other than drifting is absymal. Being a Toyota, build quality is excellent. Appearance isn't the greatest stock- it has a pretty high ride height, and could really use a lip on the trunk lid. Cost of ownership is fantastic: I bought it for $400, and am only $300 more into it for maintenance a year later. If it's raining, there is no other car I'd rather drive. A wet offramp makes me feel like Tsuchiya every time. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Average Plus — dashboard trim is simple, should have auto trans version, any car kits to offer?, bumper should body colored., more power should have been installed. Cute compact. easy to manuever, overall it is still recommendable. appearance both int and ext is more than just average, overall it is still fun to drive. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Much Better Than An S13 — Love this car. Has the T-VIS intake, has decent power and torque, but not until around 4k rpms. Love the 7500 rpm redline. Had a few issues but its smoothing out. Gas mileage is awesome. Great to drive, loves track time and getting rowdy on the streets. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Dont Buy One Unless Ur Willing To Make It Ur Pride And Joy. — Performance-Acceleration is awesome especially when u can get it to only weight 2000 pounds, handling is outrageous in this, takes 90 degree corners at 60 like nothing. Build Quality- Cant believe the amount of abuse this car can take. Toyota built this car to last for ever... Fun Factor- Is this car fun to drive? Hell yes its fun to drive, as long as you know how to drive it and what the handling characteristics are on the car... |

Hachi Roku For Life! — Every drifters dream car. Its light and the predacessor engine for Toyota"s VVT-i system. You ca make it fly in a straight line, and when you are ready , get it to drift around s curves. only problem is its almost 30 years old... Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

ProsTHE Drift car before the term was ever said - THE Tuner car before there was a tuner scene - loved it for the man-machine interface, you wont get this much of it in anything short of a Caterham Consnot fast, not cool, not worth anything - Fast N Furious series ruined it for Jap/JDM fans - only real enthusiast even know what man-machine interface means (much less appreciates it like I do)

Corolla Gts — This is the car I autocrossed the most - the car that I went to driving school the most - this is the car that intruduced me to the tuner scene before there was a tuner scene. Incredible car for the stage of life I was in - looking for thrills but not looking for trouble - looking for fun without having to spend and without compromising on quality and reliability. Not fast by a long shot but one of the most FUN cars I've owned and the car that gave me my first real lesson in "performance driving" (not the same as merely driving fast, an idiot can do that) Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

If I Could Find One Again In Tip Top Shape. — the rolla had power potential, when i build the engine myself had more power. braking wass exceptional, handling was like no other car i had driven. no words can describe the they the car handled. wish i still had it. fun factor was 10 out 10. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |
