I Would Get A Turbo Trying To Shift Up In Traffic Aginst These Modern Cars — i liked just about everything except the lack of power under 50 mph if you do the maintenace when it is due then you will have no trouble the car was maintained well over it's life and i would of keeped it but i had not storage space

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

A great looking car built to last forever that you can drive to work then take on the twisties then race it at the track.

Cons

I hate that I don't drive it more :)

It's Never Leaving :) — Built like a German tank with Galvanized Steel body yet handles and performs like a race car on a track. Still looks modern after 25 years of age. This is an amazing all around fun car that you can drive for 5,000km and get out like you were in a lazy boy all day. Best seats in the industry ... recaro

Pros

A good performance and 'pop up headlights'

Cons

any kind of engine failure will cost a lot of money

The 944 Turbo — The 944 turbo is a great car from the 80's. A pure sportscar with great performance. It goes from 0 to 60 in about 6 and a bit seconds and has it's top well over 150 mph. Although it's a car from the 80's, it's looks are quiet good, especially the rear fenders, they are pretty wide and give it a more aggressive look.

The Pros Out Way The Cons — this car is a thrill on the road and on your wallet, its design is of coarse very 1980ish. the buttons and knobs are in the most random places and they key is on the right witch is very unusual for a porsche

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros

It allows you to drive the way a person into sports cars wants to drive

Cons

Maitenance.

Get One If You Have The Money To Keep Up With It. — It's a real pleasure to drive, but a nightmare to maintain. Performance is pretty good, especially for an old 4 cylinder. Out on back roads is where it really shines, but can still kick ass in straight lines. While it's fun to drive, I'm eventually getting rid of it to get a 944 Turbo (951).

Pros

Good looking and great handling

Cons

Old so it needs significant maintenance and continual improvement.

25

Awesome — Its an old car so it does need a lot of maintenance, but I love it just the same. It handles amazingly and has a respectable amount of power but I believe it can be easily improved. I think that it just may be the best car Porsche ever made, its definitely my favorite.

Cons

Porsche 944 — Test drove the car for a friend because he didn't know how to drive a stick shift and I could. It handled great and had lots of power for a small engine. Would love to have one but can't find one in the price range I want to spend>

Pros

Good acceleration, great handling, 50/50 weight distribution

Cons

Expensive to work on!

45

1986 Porsche 944 — Good acceleration, superb handling. This is a sweet car that I don't plan on getting rid of anytime soon! This car has a top speed of about 160 MPH, and that's with no mods, just stock. The car is a blast to drive! Wouldn't trade it for most anything else!

Pros

great performance and gas mileage. lots of fun

Cons

hard to get parts for it

45

Epic — we recently bought this car for about 6000 and my family could not be happyier. It has great acceleration, it goes from bout 0 to 60 in 5 seconds. My family is very tall: my dad is 6'5 my mom is 5'11 and im 6'1 and we all have plenty of head room in this car. And... this car gets nearly 30 miles to the gallon.

Pros

Blistering fast, tight, car.

Cons

Not a good car to make out in -- no passenger compartment room at all!

Now We're Talking! — Having done my penance in car hell, this was the reward. Outstanding acceleration, handling, and looks, this car was remarkably affordable for what it was. Reasonably well constructed and comparitivelt easy to work on for such a fast car. No rear seat room or stowage to speak of.
