Very Strong Reliable Truck, Versatile And Large. — The 1986 F150 xlt Lariat is a very solid and dependable truck. Fun to drive, just enough body roll to make driving interesting. When driven aggresively in traffic other cars will move out the way of this work/cruisin truck left over from the eighties |

ProsIt runs, it's got a torquey V-8, it looks decent for it's age, and after 103,000+ miles, it's still tickin' like brand new. ConsThe AC and Heat don't work, but the worst thing is the driver's side power window won't work either. Makes it kinda hard to drive through for food, lol!

ProsFast, strong, reliable, roomy, white, not a bad truck overall. ConsPaint sucked, mirror backing was falling off, the seat had been burnt, and the mileage was a bit high.

ProsI love for pickup trucks when you got a good one the world is yours, when you got one like mine you're in the banks back pocket. Conswith old second hand vehicles you don't know who has drove it when and how, so you buy and keep trying... maybe someday i'll sell her or just send her to the wreckers cuz i'm never gonna fix all the problems.

Considering — I bought this truck from a friend of mine for 800$ and it has caused me a bankload of trouble. First the rearend went, then the timing chain, then the rearend again. Now when you want to excellerate to pass someone it doesn't have the guts (i think it's a plugged filter or a bad pump)and the coil went once and the shocks needed to be redone. All I have is trouble with the calipers, it has a short circuit somewhere it keeps shorting out the driverside headlight and there's no reverse lights. The rear gas tank is mia and the heatercore and fan had to be redone...... considering it's an old truck and has all that wrong with it, it only has 208 thou kms on it ( and no oil pressure gauge for some unknown reason) |

ProsNone ConsNo power

I Hated It — I really did not like this truck. it was slow and the old inline six did not give it much power. It really could not haul anything. Body was rusted all out and it was losing ground fast. Although it was free. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) |
