Its A Great Truck — The truck is great, Ive had to do a lot of work to it but it bein 22 years old and with over 250000 miles on it, i cant complain. the straight six 4.9 liter engine fits the truck perfectly but someday i may swap it out for a 302 or a 289. Excellent body condition, barely any rust or rot

Ford F-150 — i love everything about my truck, looks bad ass and love the power, its ok acceleration for a 1986 ford f-150, the brakes right really good, but doesnt handy that well, the interoir ist to bad, and the outside looks great, just not the front right a paint chip, i get like 10 miles to the gallon, and its a really fun truck to drive

Pros

Every body loves the beater!

Cons

Fix Or Repair Daily. Just keep plenty of bail'n wire.

'86 Ford Tank. — King cab, long bed, Larreat. Hear it is, the gut-less glory! leaked oil like every old Ford should. It had cruse controll (that worked!), auto trans., CB, casset player w/ radio, altimiter, square gauges counting in 5's, and best of all- 4x4! It had a 302cid, same as laslow's (RIP), except w/ a ton more steel on it. If the planits lined up and granma was't bark'n, it got 14mpg. It has gone where a person sould't go, hydroplaned, rallied, bajahed, flew, swam (not vary far), & dug plenty of dirt. It was the perfict teenagers truck.

Pros

Has hauled many Demo Derby cars, plus it was my dad's farm truck

Cons

Has went thru soon to be 5 clutches, and seems to be attracted to deer. Also, it don't get the greatest gas mileage.

Drove It For The First 3 Months Of College When I Didn't Have A Vehicle. — This truck has been thru hell. Having went thru 3 grilles, 1 radiator, 1 manual transmission, and it's on its 4th clutch, but it was at one time a farm truck until my brother bought it off my dad in November, 2004. Overall from what it's been thru, it's benn a pretty durable and tough truck like a ford should be

Pros

Dependable

Cons

Fuel Mileage

Old Truck — It had a 300 inline 6 motor with a 3-speed manual. It was lethargic, but dependable.

Pros

big, powerful, impressive, versatile, stops good, decent take off

Cons

decent handleing, poor fuel economy, top end speed is only 115-125 mph.

25

Very Strong Reliable Truck, Versatile And Large. — The 1986 F150 xlt Lariat is a very solid and dependable truck. Fun to drive, just enough body roll to make driving interesting. When driven aggresively in traffic other cars will move out the way of this work/cruisin truck left over from the eighties

Pros

It runs, it's got a torquey V-8, it looks decent for it's age, and after 103,000+ miles, it's still tickin' like brand new.

Cons

The AC and Heat don't work, but the worst thing is the driver's side power window won't work either. Makes it kinda hard to drive through for food, lol!

35

It Has 4 Wheels, That's About It. — Well, I was gonna just skip this part, but it says "Plese enter a longer review, so I will see if this works.

Pros

Fast, strong, reliable, roomy, white, not a bad truck overall.

Cons

Paint sucked, mirror backing was falling off, the seat had been burnt, and the mileage was a bit high.

Good Cheap Strong Ox-like Truck. — We actually bought this truck used. It however had a V8 that pulled like an ox, and was a very reliable truck. You could find yourself speeding if you weren't careful.

Pros

I love for pickup trucks when you got a good one the world is yours, when you got one like mine you're in the banks back pocket.

Cons

with old second hand vehicles you don't know who has drove it when and how, so you buy and keep trying... maybe someday i'll sell her or just send her to the wreckers cuz i'm never gonna fix all the problems.

Considering — I bought this truck from a friend of mine for 800$ and it has caused me a bankload of trouble. First the rearend went, then the timing chain, then the rearend again. Now when you want to excellerate to pass someone it doesn't have the guts (i think it's a plugged filter or a bad pump)and the coil went once and the shocks needed to be redone. All I have is trouble with the calipers, it has a short circuit somewhere it keeps shorting out the driverside headlight and there's no reverse lights. The rear gas tank is mia and the heatercore and fan had to be redone...... considering it's an old truck and has all that wrong with it, it only has 208 thou kms on it ( and no oil pressure gauge for some unknown reason)

everything. tons of power from the 302, awesome off-road, and awesome peelability.

Cons

none

Awesome Truck I Wish I Still Had It — dad bought this brand new in '86 and gave it to me when i was 16, but it was all beat up and it only lasted me a couple years. but it was the toughest truck i ever owned, it served its life in full.
