Pros

DONUTS AND BURN-OUTS!!!!

Cons

141 HP

45

It Was A Nice First Car — i like the fact that it was rear wheel drive, however it did not have enough power and it was an automatic. it had very nice handleing as far as drifting is concerned, especialy concidering it had under 150hp and weighed a million lbs. i would have much rather prefered an ss over the 4.3L. two peices of advice: flip the throttle body cap upside down, and saws-all the muffler off lol.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Gonna Sell It. — Once again, another awesome ride. Got a good deal on it, swapped the crappy 305 out for a better built 350. Has decent power, wish i had more... interior is like brand new. Very clean, could use a paint job.

Cons

nothing, I love this car.

Monte Carlo. Nuff Said. — They don't make cars like this anymore. It's actually steel. Rides like a Cadillac. Looks better than anything curvy or egg-shaped, or hybrid. Cheap to fix, easy to work on, great car for a beginner restorer, or a seasoned race car driver. Not for sale, sorry. ;)

Great Car — Car is a great car decent power and pretty rlighiable. only had one problem with it so far. but slowly finding other things that need to get fix due to previous owner's cutomization. this car is a nice cruiser. however highway driving it seems to need another gear runs about 3000 rpm at 65.

My Sweet Ride — I love my car to pieces. The body and engine are in perfect shape. Its got a 305 in it right now and I'm thinking of going bigger. I love driving this car around and getting all the looks. O ya I'm a 19 year old GIRL with a 1985 Monte Carlo SS with a 305 block, dual exhase 3 quarter inch, Pearl white color with a red interior.

Pros

Great body style, sounds awesome

Cons

Handles corners like a barge

My 85 Monte Carlo — I love this car. I have owned it since 1993. It has a built 4.3 liter v6 that puts out about 300 hp. The trans is a beefed-up 700r4. It has a Detroit Truetrac differential with 3.73 gears. It is alot of fun, and it sounds like a built v8 when it is running. The cam is the largest grind that Comp Cams offers for the 4.3, and it has a great lope at idle. I wouldn't trade this car for the world. Future plans include headers, suspension improvements and a fresh paint job.

Pros

Heavy and very powerful if you have the right engine and trans.

Cons

eats gas really bad and doesn't handle very well :[

95

Not A Family Sedan — Handling is quite bad but, what can you expect from a car that was supposed to me a Demo Derby car. the car weighs about 4,500lbs stock but my dad reinforced the frame cause like I said it was supposed to be a demo derby car so the car weighs a ripe 7,250lbs now :O! But the raw power of this 1985 Monte Carlo CL 305 C.I. is definitely a fun car to drive. I bought this car for $100. These cars have a lot of potential like all muscle cars do. The imports are just jealous they cant shake the ground like the American Muscle can :]
