1981 Chevrolet Impala

Kids everywhere were playing computer games, and the 1981 Impala made it possible for adults to join in the fun.  New for the 1981 Impala was a Computer Command Control system designed to improve driving, including the smoothness of shift between the new four-speed automatic transmission.

The base engine was a 229-ci V6 rated at 110 horsepower, and an optional 305-ci V8 rated at 150 horsepower was available.

If you are in the market for one of these vehicles today, there was a special Police Package available.  These had great acceleration, and are relatively easy to restore.
