Overall User Score
Based on 3 reviews
The 1979 Impala showed few changes since the major restyling of 1977. The grille again featured the most obvious change: gone were the horizontal bars, replaced with a ladder-like pattern. The Chevrolet insignia was back in the front and center of the grille.
The base engine remained a 250-ci I6 rated at 115 horsepower, while the optional engines were the 305-ci V8 rated at 130 horsepower and the 350-ci V8 rated at 170 horsepower.
