1973 Chevrolet Camaro

The 1973 Chevrolet Camaro continued to drop in power and performance, as did many cars in the 70s. The SuperSport (SS) trim was no longer available, and instead a new LT option was available. The LT package was focused on internal luxury rather than performance with a V8 engine rated at only 115 horsepower. Quite a drop from the SSs.

After the bumper fiasco of 1972, the 73 Camaros rolled off the line with better bumpers than ever. Numbers for the 1973 model looked great, as the drop in production in 1972 offset the 96,751 Camaros born in 1973.
