Pros

off road ability, and general fun

Cons

poor ride, slow on the road, thirsty on fuel

Advantage Of A Proper 4x4 — a great little 4x4 with a lot more go than i expected. the ride does leave a bit to be desired but is tolerable. the fuel mileage isnt too bad at 15 miles/imperial gallon a great car to drive on the road and even better when you leave it

Pros

I will never be without a Series 3 as a second car !

Cons

25mpg for the dsl and 18mpg for a petrol ! Check the chassis is not rotten as I have seen loads that are.
40mph is all a diesel can do unless its got overdrive in which case you might hit 50mph with the wind behind you on a ski slope.

Great Second Car. Until I Needed One I Thought They Were Expensive. — Brilliant second vehicle. Awesome in poor weather and perfect for the Dogs or trips to the tip. Makes people smile. Cost of parts is ridiculously cheap ( as is the insurance £150 per year for 5000 miles). Rubbish on motorways. They all smoke on start up but this disapears after a short drive. They usually leak oil (Mine does not.) Buying one with faults is a good idea as everything but the gearbox is easy to fix. The Gearbox if knackered will cost you £800 to recondition (still cheap in comparison to any modern car).

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Great Summer vehicle

Cons

it's cold

Awsome ! — It is what it is, a multi use vehicle, that you can fill with anything and go anywhere ! I love this Landy in the summer, roof up, in fact I have a bikini top for it, but haven;t had the chance to fit.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

just about anyone can work on one of these

Cons

the magnet part doesn't work

35

Sweet 4x4 — It is a freakin tractor, goes just about anywhere, loads of fun, I built it as a chic magnet but that has yet to work, so I offroad it and have a blast doing it. Does turn heads, it is one sweet truck. I built the thing myself on a new galvy chassis with parabolics for a nice ride

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

The Best — This make of car is by far the best, it may not go very fast but you get a fun drive out of it no matter what, it can literally go anywhere! they are the most awkward things to steer.

Cons

35 year old braking system

1972 Series Iii (3 Litre V6 Engine) — This Land Rover is the best car I ever owned even though it did keep trying to kill me Speedo went to 100mph, Land Rover went to.........well I never got over taken, boyracers stopped bothering me and there's something strangely satisfying about doing donuts in 4 wheel drive :-)
