How to check transmission fluid

There is a level check plug built into the drain plug. You need to have the transmission fluid temperatures between 50-60 celsius or so. See here: https://f01.justanswer.com/danielchaidez/3fd546e3-df65-4cb1-ae1c-7098eb3b09cf_trans.pdf
Different cars have different ways to check transmission fluid, and some don't have any way at all. Check your owners manual, available online. Or ask your Volvo mechanic. There's probably a screw-port where you remove a plug and see a dribble of fluid when full.
