I inquired about a 2022 Prius Prime I found for sale on Car Gurus, the Prius had excellent low milage, had clean title history with no prior accidents reported. Photos showed clean exterior and interior. I sent my trade in information over to them on Saturday April 25, I did not hear back until April 28th that my info would be sent to the appraisal team. Then I received a follow up email from them stating the "The car was found to have too much work needed to bring it up to an acceptable level of functionality for retail sale; so the decision was made to send the car to the wholesale auction." There is no way this could have been true with the advertisement and photos I saw. I'm only left to believe they have some shady sales practices. I don't know how to rate the condition accuracy, because the car looked beautiful and to be told it wasn't acceptable and taken to auction?

The worse experience! This dealer kept calling me for a week, I finally go an hour out my way to find out they make their own rules. I was pre-approved through my credit union for this vehicle, which I explained through email and a phone call before going there. The sales manager comes over, looks at the check as if it was Monopoly money and states it’s not a cashiers check. Duh! A cashier’s check would come from ME, the check you’re looking at is directly from my credit union. When I tell him this he then says well it’ll take 3 weeks to process! I called my bank and they laughed! On the check is a validation number that the dealer calls with exact numbers and funds are immediately released! The sales manager then says or I can run your numbers through us! They truly hate when you do your homework before walking in! No thanks Sir!

My experience was good to start off, not great, but good. However, after I purchased the vehicle I found some issues. In particular a leaky roof. The dealer has chosen to avoid responsibility for this issue. I realize now that there were several issues that he had to have know about, but pretended not know. This is very unfortunate. I should have known. Based on my total experience to date, I would not recommend or buy another vehicle from this dealer. If I were asked in the beginning my answer would have been different, but my overall experience changes that, unfortunately. They seem like good people but business deal needs to be an end to end experience.
