Listed price for the car: $27,600. Their out-the-door price: "Yeah, but that TruCoat…" Worse than the classic movie car salesman trying to sneak $500 for “TruCoat” onto a $19,500 car, these guys here have $1,499 for VIP appearance "protection" — a fee that isn't disclosed on the CarGurus listing or their website. When the fee is challenged? The salesman’s response “See, they install that TruCoat at the factory." Then came another $799 for "Documentation." Two fees. $2,298. Over 8% added before a single tax or DMV fee entered the picture. That's not a fee structure, that's a plot twist. Save yourself from being Tru-Coated!
